Nearly sold all yesterday.. to buy back today, but didn't.1 Sep 2021 13:53
We all knew results would be poor up to March. However last year results came with great forward looking statements which reassured the markets. Have to wonder what is going through their minds when they release accounts that late and don't release any update or write up explaining the growth and positive plans/changes in the year.
I thought yesterday, Lets sell them all and buy back tomorrow morning as I knew results up till March would be punished by the market. I did think the company would release some positive news to counteract the bad results though so decided against it. I'm very surprised they haven't released anything positive to counteract the results. Does make you wonder wether there is a push to keep the share price low for a while.
It's always the same with companies who are in transition. Old results will always be poor compared to forward looking expectations. If you are short term minded, it usually best to get out before results day. If you are long term minded, it doesn't really matter unless you want to try trading for a bigger holding. That was my plan but I decided against it as I did think we would see an update.
Sad we haven't. Would be nice to get some clarity as the last trading update wasn't very clear to read. Still a massive believer in the company and products but have to say, the BOD haven't performed as good as usual here with these results. Makes me think there is some big players still wanting in cheap.
It is so important for any company with growth and revenues tomorrow, to be very clear as to updates and plans, and sell the company and plans with every chance as high market caps and low sales will always be punished.
Now I look forward to the next update, a little worried COVID supply chain issues have effected us but 2500 stores is no small achievement so I'm more than happy to hold and wait. Please take note BOD, you need to still sell the company as well as the products unless you want the share price to do what it has.
Long term, this is still one of my picks for huge growth in the next 5 years. GLA
