The truth is nobody knows. There was the recent corporate buy in and on the flip side MW are shorting and there is a court case in the US. Results out at end of month are expected to be positive and the company is cash rich. The owners are a hard family to like and apart from Jupiter few institutions want to be seen to be involved. So you pays your money, you takes your chance.

One thing I can agree with Kalu on (heaven forbid) is that there will only be another lockdown if the hospitals come under severe pressure. Even with rising cases and hospitalizations it would take a lot more for Boris to go back into lockdown.

Shameless ramping of WOSG but the point is people are spending money on and off line with cash saved from 2020.

There is still plenty of pent up demand. Rolex can't / won't supply enough keeping demand high.
At present there is still scope for expansion but agree that sales will be an indicator. At the moment I'm told that the normal rules on the high street aren't effecting WOS as they are booking appointments for customers to go in and view / buy product.

Floated at £3.70 and did very little for a while. Every time they published good news / results there was a disaster in the world. The last one was of course Covid but since then they have managed expectations very well. I think a valuation north of £3bn is unrealistic for now though.

Depends what platform broker you use. Usually buy is 3p higher than sell.

Reinforcing what most of us already knew. Customers need a reason to commit time to visit bricks and mortar.
This will impact not only retail but landlords and local gvt.

I refer you to WOSG, and thank you for turning into a regulator who now wants legislation to stop people spending their money on stocks you don't approve of. If people want to hold / buy Boo for whatever reason and not find ABF attractive, live with it.

Yes in this country tourism and business travel out of Heathrow have been AWOL and the effects of no duty free sales will only become clear after COVID. The US is the intangible. So far its working but many UK companies have come unstuck over there. That being said if they can find more sites over there there is potential for growth. If they can get into Paris again there is potential for the Chinese trade.

£20 probably optimistic but the way this has gone over past 15 months its possible.
I'm holding for now as I anticipate strong sales update from them next week. Maybe insiders / educated guessers have already priced this in.

Well not quite the only risk.
Tourism in the capital is dead
Duty free is dead
There may be a general downtown
Rolex supplies could tighten further
That being said WOSG have posted impressive numbers even with Heathrow shut and the capital devoid of tourists.
The Govt will realise the impact of turning off Duty Free when they look at their revenues. At the moment all Govt revenues are shot.
The largest risk is a shortage of Rolex product but as WOSG run three Rolex boutiques in the UK you would expect they would get favourable treatment.

Already seen resistance at £9.85. But if sales have remained on track I think there will be a realignment upwards. At some point the trajectory will flatten out but for now the fundamentals don't appear to have changed; largest Rolex retailer in the world, largest retailer of high end watches in the UK and increasing market share in US. All leases paid in full and debt being paid down. All staff paid with no furlough or associated govt loans outstanding. Only risk is increased overheads of entertainment and associated costs as estate is now fully open.

Have just browsed the web site and the watch section is a skinned version of Watchshop, a separate online watch seller that are owned by the same Venture Capitalists that owned WOSG - Apollo Global Management. I'm guessing they've worked out a franchise deal with WS to boost their online content. They are all lower end 'fashion brands'. They've probably done the same with some of the other non clothing sections though I'm not qualified to say. I do know AGM divested their holding in WOSG last year at around £3.20 / share. Not looking too smart now.

The reality is that unless you have insider knowledge we're all just p*ssing in the wind. Apart from one or two people in the industry or professional investors no one here has a clue what's going on, just hunches and opinions. You may kid yourself into believing that the investment is sound. The truth is nobody knows. We all know the markets are driven by greed and fear and act irrationally. Simple as that. As spicey says its good entertainment but my feeling is after six months and an overall 8% loss I'm better swallowing it and putting it somewhere that I'll recoup it within a month if not less.

Whether ESG are competent or not is not the issue HKK. Leicester City Council, Border Patrol and a lot of other agencies including central government all knew what was happening but chose not to get involved due to pressure to turn a blind eye. (A lot of these people vote). Remember Keith Vaz, that paragon of virtue? This was his constituency. It was only when Covid outbreaks in Leicester peaked amongst the tightly packed Asian community that the government felt forced to act. There is no way Boo didn't know what was going on in their supply chain but until Covid they had managed to keep it out of the limelight.

Ironically I watched Boo all last year and only got in when the price was north of where it is now.
It looks like its turned into a long term hold. From what I have seen over the last few months the owners are not interested in PR whilst WOSG who have arguably a worse return on investment (though still very good for their sector) do.
