Yeh i agree to an extent Jenkoo - the case will be proving whether it was a design flaw. May well be difficult to prove that if it

is a new concept plant design as people have mentioned as there's no historical experiences to call on or used as evidence of knowledge.

Seen this in pharma industry with installation of tabletting lines, filling lines etc. Sometimes things just don't work. You could argue it's ultimately poor design or design oversight but if the seal meets acceptance criteria from it's supplier then i'm not sure what else can be said? Happy to discuss as im only going off pharma. I might add pharma parts and components are highly regulated and controlled...well they used to be
