Correct, showing a cool £32.60k profit as at today and still begs the question why was he allowed to pay the Subscription Price when he was not an exisitng shareholder?

It was rather as my "cabin" was booked in the name of Self and The Memsahib (who was still in UK) and the Conductor was most puzzled and kept looking for her!! Then the same chap came to draw the blinds at dusk but when I said it wasn't necessary (especially as the sun going down over the Hindu Kush was absloutely stunning) he became quite agitated and imperative, pointed out of the window,made as for a man with a gun to his shoulder, and said "bad men!! Bang!!
Needless to say I saw his point of view with alacrity!
Apols for bunging up this BB with personal anecdotes so will temper it with the comment that we seem to be chugging away quite nicely, up 13% in a month. Long may this steady progress continue!!

My company had an office in Quetta which I visited a long time ago. Became stranded up there because of bad weather closing the airport and had to return to Karachi by train, about 430 miles, took 25 hours. The track twists so much that at one stage you can see the engine going in the opposite direction. Also, to liven up the journey it is/was not unusual for local chaps out in the boondocks of Baluchistan to have a potshot at the train!

Is there not just the teensiest weensiest chance that PH have a client waiting in the wings to pick us up at a bargain basement price and PH are deliberately dpressing the price.

As a newcomer to this board you may not be aware there are many subscribers who have been shareholders for 10years+ who have seen massive progress in the last 12 months
Even if your above timescale was anywhere close to reality we will have been overtaken or taken over well before. As our "friends" at PH are keeping the price well depressed while they line up a bargain basement buyer I suspect the latter is more likely even if it proves to be unacceptable.

Well, what a year it was, the best for a decade both in terms of technical progress toward the alleviation of suffering and financial progress towards funding of further research and a leap in the SP.

We read several stories of the illness/loss of loved ones and it was heartening to read the many messages of sympathy and condolence that were posted ( although I recall one contributor who complained that the BB was being misused-nice!)

It was also a year of some extremely vigorous (!!) discussion on this BB, a mixture of very well informed opinion, uninformed opinion, mudslinging and some downright vitriol. This is good:it is called freedom of speech, a very precious commodity now under threat from the pernicious woke/cancellation culture.At its core, freedom of speech is the right to say unwelcome, controversial things, the right to disagree with the mainstream and the right to offend. It is a vital liberty, especially at times like this, when one group seeks to force its prescriptive language and view of life on all the rest of us.

In 1642, in an adress to Parliament, the great John Milton said
" Give me the liberty to know, to utter, and to argue freely according to conscience, above all liberties."

Yep and the oil companies are caning us at the pumps. I recall when oil was $140/barrel some years back, at the pump we were paying about 140p/litre.
Now oil is $79/barrel i.e. nearly half of the figure above but at the pump we are paying about 150p/litre!!!
(PS Can someone please tell me why it is that petrol which takes billions in capex and development/extraction etc etc is about £7/gallon but beer which is mostly water is about £40/£50/gallon??)

She is certainly a different person following the all clear result. Having enjoyed rude health all her life it came as a bit of a shock and resulted in endless sleepless nights for several weeks.However now on the up and back to her normal cheery self.

Domestic scene has beena bit fragmented as the Memsahib was diagnosed with a minute chunk of the BigC about 2 months ago, and she has only just received the all clear after an op about three weeks ago, so guess I'm feeling a bit sensitive after all the ongoing anxiety.
Best Christmas present she received this year!!

Yes-we were stiffed/stuffed from the start. We put up some of the finance but did not get a seat at the table in return and as a result Sierra have done just what they liked including watering down our share of the bunce.

First bit of advice "go for a consolidation you chaps it's all the rage nowadays" (thinks "big fat fee-yum yum"). Also no doubt the factor for consolidation will not be a round number thus ensuring that there will be fractional entitlements which, if I understand the system, correctly will be sold off for the benefit of the company ie us shareholders will lose out.

This blatant depression of the SP in the face of mounting evidence that Sareum is on the right track, is now getting beyond a joke. If such stunts were pulled in commerce there would be screams of outrage from the House of Shame on the Thames with calls for public enquiries etc etc but 'cos it is their buddies in the City who are pulling the strings to make it easier for them to
