Thank you for the clarification but whatever the scenario agree completely that on the face of it the BoD's performance over the last 12 months leaves a lot to be desired.

I wrote to the new IR person querying the choice of a rail strike day for the AGM and pointing out the preference for face to face Q's & A's this year, possibly more than ever, rather than via PC link, but have yet to receive a response. In the continuing absence of same it might be considered that she suffers the same malaise as the BoD.

Yes, but it would have been nice to have been told we have a new head of IR as a contact point which we are sadly lacking at present. Now perhaps we might get answers to basic day to day questions (including why the AGM is being held on a rail strike day)

Correct- the news broke on Friday 12th May 2017. The SFO then spent well over 4 years trying to dig dirt on the company but failed miserably. Instead of the anticipated juicy fine of of hundreds of millions all they could scrape up was "... a failure to prevent..." charge and a measly 75 million bucks..
It was not that that kicked us in the cojones but the inability to win contracts during that period, especially the ADNOC embargo, and the damage to the company's reputation which it seems they are still struggling to remedy. Adverse World events have not helped of course, nor have the company's bankers by idiotically piling onerous costs on a struggling company. T'was ever thus I'm afraid.

I feel dear Sami has been looking at the writing on the wall and has received a better offer somewhere.
Three CEO's in three years not good and tends to unnerve bankers.
Unfortunately to some extent Asfari WAS Petrofac. His departure started the rot BUT he still owns 16% of the company and any attempt by him to offload any would be disastrous.

On the other side of the coin Buys outstrip Sells by over a third today so some optimism still abounds

So Sami presided over reneging on a deal with the unions. Now he is b.......g off and leaving his successor to pick up the pieces ( and us to see the SP plunging).

Dave-it was bust the day the bean counters at SFO put the boot in. We all know how contracts in the ME are "negotiated" and Petrofac is no longer able to join in for obvious reasons.

Strange how anyone who has the outright temerity to fly in the face of bullish opinion on this BB is pilloried. In reality what has been stated is fact, but as that is classed as unpalatable by the "bulls" one is a moaner.

Yep-usual scenario-Sareum "noting" yet again something which does sweet FA for the SP except a minor surge then

High time we received a RNS in which the "experts" who purport to "run " this company actually announce something really positive which gets us back on track, restores market faith in the company and its "management" and gets us back on track.

We are told we have wonderful products, world beaters etc
We are told the BoD has a wealth of experience (still got the CTA wrong though)
We are told TM and his Oppo are brilliant scientists (ditto)
We have a large retinue of "professional advisors" costing us heavens knows what (good Q for the AGM)

Accepting this as fact (apart from maybe the "Advisors", THEN WHY THE DONALD IS THE SP AT A 2 YEAR LOW?????

Just divide by 50!!
