I think it has been said before. The AGM is not a vehicle for releasing news-it is to consider Resolutions and answer shareholders' questions (good luck with that one!!!!)

Ask somebody who is completely new to the company who, having done some research, gives an opinion. What do you think it would be?

This has been beaten to death but STILL they don't seem to have grasped the facts or haven't the least intention of changing. I hope, sincerely, I am totally wrong on the latter because such a stance in company management can be fatal.

If that turns out to be the case then over an internet link the music will be heavily muted, unlike the true face to face AGM where the music would be thunderous.

By the way the explanation for holding the AGM on a strike day was as follows:-
" I’m afraid that the notices for the AGM had already gone to press before the strikes were announced and we would incur significant further costs if the date were to be changed at this stage."

To which I replied:-

"The strikes were announced on 22nd November.
The official notice of AGM went out on 24th November, plenty of time
to make an amendment."

I have yet to receive a response-what a surprise.

ADNOC may be dishing out contracts big time but Petrofac still has the smell of the SFO debacle hanging over it and, unlike other bidders, they may not be able to "negotiate" contracts in the way it is alleged they did in the past. Accordingly they might have to pitch their bids at very fine margins to stand any chance of winning.
