I had a financial advisor from HSBC he set up a portfolio, 2 years in I was 2.5k down , not including his initial £750 fee, then discovered more hidden costs and decided to close the " investment account".

So you got any more advice you would like to help me with?

I genuinely hope I am wrong , I don't wish losses on any investors, I was simply giving an account of my personal experiences, even after convincing myself that the companies I mentioned would come good they have all been disappointing.

One I didn't mention was CAPAI, I was invested there when it was Dukemount, I made a decent amount as I have done here , going from 1.2p to 3.5p before I took 15k profit.

Lesson I now learn is sell out when you double your investment because just taking profit is not profit if your initial investment drops to the levels this has dropped.

I wish I could share the same enthusiasm, I have seen the hype before hence my scepticism. I saw the same over excitement at DGI when the Tesla guys came in took nice salaries delivered nothing.

I lost thousands my partner lost even more because she kept faith with the delist of DGI, and then the Bank refused to transfer her remaining money to the new owners.

I invested in HE1 after the gushing video in which Lorna Blaise couldn't contain her excitement at hitting the sweet spot,.

Then the motherlode was discovered at Red Setter (WSBN) still no assays.

The banking license that was imminent about a year ago for ALBA (Caledonian Holdings) still waiting.

The breakthrough technology at QBT where method A so top secret can not be revealed, method B may well be the fall back if A is not successful in convincing buyers.

GST technologies, PHE, EME, ENET, All promising riches and then you can add more Gold and Silver start ups to the list who will one day make money for those who have deep pockets and patience.

I now sit back and only put money in on tangible news ,..I have a long way like most to recover my losses over the last 2 years.

The reality is the Government is trying to plug a huge blackhole in it's finances.

Every department has a voracious appetite to take a slice of those funds.

Defence has not been a priority with previous Governments and the increases we see are by modern day standards aligned to the present Governments policy on gradually increasing the budget for this sector.

It's a political hot potato when you consider , the Health department underfunding , transport, economic development and the biggest drain of all, welfare and the DWP commitment with triple lock.

But the Government awarded Palantir a U.S. company a huge slice of the defence budget cake, how much do we realistically think ALRT will get?

What continues to ring in my ears is this is a 5 year plan, yet folk put money in expecting an instant lottery win. I suspect we the investors have got the ball rolling for this project and will be expected to keep the lights on for the foreseeable future,.

The LinkedIn comments from McCartney and Webber offered nothing tangible just one "buddy" backing up another is what I saw, read between the lines it's all fluff, . Until the words contract win and revenue appear in a RNS, this remains a high risk investment and a long term hold if you have the luxury of locking your savings in for 3 or 4 years or you do what 90% of people do gamble and get lucky elsewhere.

Thanks for the informative posts MCNol, the last two trading days here have convinced many ex investors that HE1 may have finally grabbed the markets attention.

I decided to buy back in yesterday after the second RNS and have spent my entire day trying to keep up with your posts.

What has happened today will definitely be digested over the weekend by many investors who are still sitting on the fence and I would imagine alot of new money will be coming into HE1 on Monday.

What is interesting is the Stockbox interview. Cedric Simonet wouldn't have wanted to release a positive piece of news with background selling causing a drag on the S.P. would be wasting good news.

So has he intentionally released this in the knowledge that Tracarta would be gone leaving a positive pathway for the S.P. to move up?

Echoes everyones sentiments,...but the sprinkling of ars*holes will continue to hinder progress tomorrow on the opening of trading in the form of day traders and market makers,.. once the day trading spivs are out lets give the mm's a hiding by buying more shares, all you need to do is stop selling .

What I find pathetic is one or two trades in here today for around 3-4k buying in mid day hanging around for a couple of hrs and out already for a £80 gain.

9 times out of 10 you end up losing , so is it really worth that one trade where you risk 4k to gain £80?

The green boxed one is quite an enigma, spends all day on a share he's not invested in and occasionally flips into his Walter Mitty character pronouncing how he makes a fortune on the FTSE 100, a weirder , weirdo you will not come across on these boards.
