It makes more sense for EU countries to secure the best weaponry they can to defend their nations. Protectionism just makes everyone worse off.
Statins are sourced from a simple fungi, are 3% effective and have serious side effects. Yet they generate over £20bn profit per year are the most profitable pharmaceutical product of ALL TIME !!!!!
Pretty good financial report overall from Astrazeneca. The future prospects look good with the oncology side of the business absolutely flying.
Astrazeneca is looking more like a Takeover target by the day.
Barder would be better suited in terms of his ability (and in terms of deserved salary) to the role of a small local council lower level administrator. If he was in charge of Tesla, with exactly the same cars and technology, the company would have gone into bankruptcy several years ago !!!
The WEAK SELL refers to Barder not the FUM share price.
Iofina tipped for a large rise in yesterday's Daily Mail. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/investing/article-11222039/MIDAS-SHARE-TIPS-Iodine-Iofina-demand-profit.html
Anyone got a decent idea why L.O loaded up on some FUM shares today?
Good to see that Lombard Odier increased their holding only 2 days ago. The share price should push on into the 50s in the next fortnight with the increased buying and upgraded price sentiment in June.
Like any investor i could be wrong, but I see this news as an encouraging sign. The raising of £10m funding puts Futura in a much stronger position in negotiations with partners. Futura should now be able to lever a much better deal for the company and its shareholders.
The most recent fundraisings have been a great spur to Futura's price and I can now see the price rising above 80p in the next 3 months and beyond £1 when a good partner deal is announced. If the US trial proves successful then all bets are off in terms of the scale of the future price rise.
If in the next few days there is news of a distribution deal or a takeover offer, there needs to be an investigation by the financial authorities as to how this got out.
There has clearly been a leak of good news. Whilst this is positive news for current shareholders, I do wish things like this didn't happen so often with AIM shares. It means that those with the knowledge can make significant gains not available to many others.
Liam Booth/LBO. You misunderstand my end comment "Basically its all good news for investors in futura".
What I am saying is that the reason for your hundreds of negative posts which must be a) working for a worried competitor b) driving price lower for a company wishing to buy out futura or c) a disgruntled investor, are all factors which would be good news for investors in futura. The first two scenarios mean that futura has great prospects and the third means that you're not that smart because you must have called the prospects and price of futura wrong previously and are likely to do so again.
You say you are long on futura which beggars the question why you would produce over 200 highly negative posts on a company (and that company alone) that you are invested in. The only conclusion any logical investor could take from this is that your negative posts are highly likely to be wrong too !
So Lombard have exercised some options, took some profit, and have gone from owning 21.04% of futura and now own 20.99%.
From the number (and length) of negative posts Liam Booth (LBO on ADVN) makes on this share, and only this share, there are only 3 possible explanations:
a) He works for a competitor such as Sildenafil and is looking to trash futura.
b) He is trying to drive the price down so that futura can be taken over at a cheaper market value.
c) He is a disgruntled investor in futura who sold out before the recent rise.
Anyone who doesn't fall into one of these 3 categories would not join a bulletin board to post nigh on 200 negative posts about a company. His desperation is palpable.
Categories 1 and 2 are highly encouraging for the future share price and Category 3 would be a poor judgement on Liam Booth's decision making and would question his negative predictions. Basically it's all good news for investors in futura.
Futura's share price wll be trading somewhere beteen 68p and 90p within two months. Where it goes after that is harder to predict as there are too many external factors to consider.
Liambooth / LBO
You profess to have a great deal of knowledge about investing but clearly spend a lot of time talking about how bad an investment futura is.
You previously said that you had been an investor in futura but clearly no longer.
We get it, you don't NOW rate futura. that's fine, don't invest in it.
What particular shares would you instead recommend purchasing at the moment ?

You don't say R1bobuk.
When you see 8 buys and 2 sells, that means on the 10 transactions there were 8 buy orders and 2 sell orders. Each of the10 transactions involved a buy and a sell but in basic theory the buyers were much more prevalent than the sellers.
So today 3.8 million shares were purchased as a result of buy orders and 1.4million were sold as a result of sell orders.
