When you see 8 buys and 2 sells, that means on the 10 transactions there were 8 buy orders and 2 sell orders. Each of the10 transactions involved a buy and a sell but in basic theory the buyers were much more prevalent than the sellers.

So today 3.8 million shares were purchased as a result of buy orders and 1.4million were sold as a result of sell orders.

Yes indeed. Buying initiated volume today was two and a half times the level of selling initiated activity. A good sign for the share price in the coming days.

Ev63- Also, hopefully FUM will be looking at whether their gel can be used to deliver the vaccine in the future. Big Pharma companies are already looking at alternative ways than injection to give the vaccine in a way that could be administered by the recipients. This would be a highly lucrative venture.

There are two ways that companies conduct a buyback of its shares: a tender offer or through the open market.

No. Companies only really buy or sell their own shares in a rights issue or a buy back. The vast majority of trades are private investors and investment firms. Every trade involves a buyer and a seller. When you see a Red sell that means someone has sold at the sell price which is the lower of the 2 quotes. When you see a Blue buy, that means someone has bought at the higher quoted price. More sells usually drive the price down and vice versa.
HOWEVER the data you see on this site for buys and sells is very often WRONG as buys get recorded as sells a lot of the time. If you want better data on buys and sells you will need to go to another site.

xlfireball - There was 548k volume of FUM shares bought and sold in total. 374k volume were sell initiated transactions (at the bid price at that time) and 177k volume were buy initiated transactions (at the ask price at that time).

Bruce- If you held 10 items which formed a significant holding of a rare commodity and could sell 8 items forcing the price to fall all the way down to 80% below its market value, safe in the knowledge that you had the right to buy 20 items at this low price knowing they were undervalued, would you try and manipulate the price in order to get that item at a 'knock off' price? What would you do if there was no comeback on you ?

If Phase 3 trials are successful then there will not be another rights issue, ever again. An offer would come in long before any re-funding.
If trials are inconclusive then yes maybe a rights issue would follow.
Like all AIM investments it's a high risk/high reward game. I think that if it wasn't for Lombard's selling the last 6 months the current price would be around 50p but that's the risk you take when the big boys take a stake. Just thank your lucky stars it wasn't Neil Woodford !

If MED2005 trial results prove highly successful price should reach £3.50 and longer term way north of this.
if medium success £1.50.
if minor success £70p.

Immediately once the MED2005 failure was announced: 8p (we have been led to believe a 20% chance of failure)
3 months following this 18.5p once price recovers
and if TPR100 proves successful 50p.
