As a result of its strong reputation, the business has recently secured a new contract from one the UK’s leading medical and technology companies to manufacture individual plastic casings for 50 million Covid-19 antibody test kits.

Sam Hill, CEO of Adreco Plastics, commented: “Before investing in our new moulding tool, we were producing up to 250,000 devices per year, but thanks to HSBC UK’s backing, we are now capable of producing 1.1 million devices per week.

plastic injection moulding company based in Milton Keynes has invested in a new metal moulding tool capable of producing 50 million Covid-19 antibody test kits a year, after securing a £90,000 loan from HSBC UK through the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS).

To meet the demand of Covid-19 antibody test kits, Adreco has used the funding from HSBC UK to invest in a new moulding tool, which will increase its moulding production capacities from 250,000 plastic cases a year to 36 casings every 10 seconds, enabling the production of over 1 million devices per week.

Would that have the same impact as bonus to a number of employees?

I share your feelings of being gutted as do many others on here I'm sure. I'm facing a large loss tomorrow no doubt {no complaints, my decisions} along with lots of others. I believe we're locked in for now but I do have hope with the fundamentals of this business and now that we will be funded. Therefore I'm in for the rough ride but I do believe we'll come out stronger... Might take a bit of time but personally I don't want to crystalise a lose at this time. I wish all long suffering shareholders well for the future

Saw this RNS about an hour ago. Very surprised at the discount. I've subscribed for some more shares but feel as if I've been bounced into this with very little choice and time to consider. Shafted is a word that comes to mind.... Not sure how this is going to pan out now but in for a penny in for a pound I suppose now. GLA LTI's and let's hope on a positive note that some good news is released very soon to start the healing process. Fingers crossed in hope....

I agree with the evidence you back up your view with but disagree on it's materiality regarding the size of the business operations and whether it would have a significant effect on the share price.
Such exceptional items are commonplace in business and would warrant separate disclosure (rns) unless of a very material size or likely to recur in one way or another.
The criteria for extraordinary items may possibly be lower regarding separate disclose but in this particular case my opinion would be report as exceptional in accounts (interim and or final) because it's not material enough to affect the value of shares significantly.
Obviously it would affect the price but you have to take a view on materiality.
Based on the amount I consider the correct and necessary disclosure was made in the annual statements. AIMO of course for what it's worth.
