Totally agree about NPV.
On the flip side cost of capital has increased significantly since November and is looking like it is on an upward trajectory at least for the near future.
Which is accelerating faster...revenues or cost of capital?
Gist of the article is Rio can't get staff (machinery operators / laborers) for their most technologically advanced mine, so are going autonomous.
The drive toward robotic equipment “hasn’t led to the doomsday scenario of mass layoffs,” says one expert, but has created new jobs. Truck drivers and drill operators are being supplanted by autonomous fleet operators and systems engineers.

Yes they are building a nice portfolio of US deals. Amazing given the size of the company. Keep up the good work.
Wasn't me but I have been stung before when putting a limit order in and it gets partially filled...
Hello everyone.... seems the old faithful are all still here...Terry, OldF, Maps, Esc, S2020, his nephew S2030, Mr BB and even Baxter, who I am shocked is still here.
Anyway didn't see this info on the board and thought might be of interest. Assuming SM are still ADAS and not fully autonomous (haven't kept up with developments as moved on a long time ago) but it is Cruise having some hiccups.
Hope you are all well and healthy. Happy and safe investing.

Seems bit odd - not gone ex, volume in line with average? Any thoughts? This should be a defensive play in this market but certainly not acting like one today.
Nice contract win and high profile State. They seem to be gaining traction. Personally I'd like to see margins increase but early days for this company.
Nothing wrong with boring....just ask my wife she would understand that being married to me!!!
I have enough excitement in the rest of my portfolio....5% div and regular buses just the ticket....get the joke...buses..ticket.
As I said nothing wrong with boring...check back in 2024..
Yes sleepy board this one....Brewin Dolphin get acquired and not a peep here. I know slightly different financial vertical but not a million miles away.
Anyway I'll carry on buying as opportunities occur collect that dividend and check in again in 2024!!!
Looks like concerns about Eastern European market exposure has set in.
Difficult to gauge potential impact but looking back at reports seems like Russia is a large market for Devro and they did flag in latest results that revenue in Russia and East declined due to fx headwinds.
Food isn't part of sanctions but must have some sort of impact just a question of magnitude.
Already watched the downturn in markets today (Wed) as I am in North America. Afternoon was ugly. Dow up 236 points in the morning ended down 434. Asian markets opened down 1 1/2% roughly.
Can't view companies as an island and need to take into account macro issues....I have learnt more in the last 4 months about dependencies of long duration assets, FED and interest rates than I ever thought I would know...
Buckle up buttercup and good luck to Ukrainian people. I am sure stock market performance is least of their worries.
Not particularly surprised at the extent of the fall here. Markets are jittery and posting reduced revenue gets punished severely.
Reading the Chairman statement my interpretation is it is somewhat less upbeat than previous statements.... increased competition; incentives offered for customer acquisition are unbelievable - get $1,000 deposited by operator in new account account, replace losing bets on the first week of account being opened unto $1,000. As Chairmen says Webis aren't in this league. I also wouldn't dismiss the power of tribes they are extremely powerful.
California is make or break....as someone previously posted the for sale sign is in the front garden now.
BTW... does anyone have insight into how they make money in NY? They didn't get an operators license in the recent awards...thankfully in my opinion as they couldn't compete with the spend DKNG / Fanduel are shelling out.
Be careful what you wish for regarding a listing on Nasdaq.....Just Eat - The meal delivery company opted to voluntarily delist in a bid to limit costs and regulatory burdens per reports.
Ask holders of DDDD / TLSA what they think of the Nasdaq listing. Sp performance has been abysmal. Different businesses and sectors but Nasdaq isn't a necessarily a silver bullet especially if the company puts an ATM facility in place to raise cash...can lead to significant dilution.
If the underlying business is sound then probability a company will succeed. Just a question of time and ultimate valuation.
Tony....hindsight is a wonderful thing but a crystal ball would be better for stocks!!!!
Frustrating here as strong results and company is in a growing sector but just can't seem to sustain any gains. Suspect the announcement last November of CEO stepping down affected sentiment negatively but business seems robust.
Surprised nobody is sniffing around this as an acquisition target.
Nice to see capital being deployed. Logistics exposure increasing, which seems logical in current environment.
Unaudited NAV in October was £1.30 so more to go hopefully.
Pleased to see this go through. Personally I'd prefer debt reduced a tad in rising rate environment. Seems to be well covered but I do think this is a slight negative for market rerating. By the sounds of it management have the cash earmarked for other uses.
That said I am still scratching my head with GLO.
Utilities sector have been one of the brighter sectors in current market gyrations but GLO SP seems to be stuck in treacle. Div is great but I would like to see some capital appreciation.
