The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
His response seemed measured....explained what placing had been used for (fund hospital and start home trial).
Didn't elaborate about possible further requirements. I think it's a little naive if expectations are they can trial, test and bring a drug to market on back of £14M.
I'd expect if positive results from trials further funding will be required and this may come from licensing / partnership with big pharm or placing.....I'd rather the former but remember senior management participated in the March round.
The trial is priority.
Bax....Yes dabbled in SEE.
This one is volatile as other posters stated. From media I am seeing here in US lots of states, California, included are looking to increase revenue as tax revenue is way down. (California borrowed from the Federal govt to fund their payroll protection program).
Thanks BBB. Interested to hear what the response is.
I noticed as well that the Half year results to 31 December 2019 announcement on March 10, 2020 doesn't have the SM logo on it. Others do.....drum roll....conspiracy theory.
Steve .....I believe you are correct it's the average over the given period that is the determinanet.
From a financial site.....VWAP is calculated by adding up the dollars traded for every transaction (price multiplied by the number of shares traded) and then dividing by the total shares traded.
While I would love the share price to get to 6.1p and stay there so Paul can qualify for the award I just don't think the way this is structured is equitable or common market practice. To me it is similar to awarding a lottery ticket...if you don't generate the winning number this time then come back next time.
To my mind a CEO should definitely be incentivized for positive share price appreciation in a given financial year but not given the option if they don't hit it this year then let's try again next year.
If we assume stock markets generally rise then this structure would potentially be rewarding the CEO for beta and not alpha generation.
Still amazed at the seemingly lack of disclosure on behalf of the company unless I missed an announcement.
How can a shareholder vote on a subject when it has not been fully disclosed the AGM notification or as far as I can see an clarification to the AGM notification issued prior to voting?
Odd is not the way I would describe it.
Reporting today that a Delta internal memo reported they will be overstaffed by 7,000 pilots in the autumn. Currently have 14,000 pilots and due to scheduling cutbacks will only require 7,000. Plus Q3 2021 will have 2,500 / 3,500 surplus pilots. Cash burn is $50M a day.
Likely other airlines in same position. That taken with Boeing CEO saying that "most likely" a major US airline will go out of business then tough times to be in airline business.
Lewbo...yes fully expect all auto to be down as I do with airlines. Saw a stat Monday that 2.5M people travelled on US airlines on 3/30/19....on 3/30/20 that number was 180,002.
Actually think it's beneficial for SEE to have majority of production kick in 2021 rather than now. Just have to wait and see how the next 6 months shake down.
Really pleased to see this news this morning and some relief.
Couple of points of caution on the general macro environment:
1. GM just announce Q1 US sales numbers down 7% vs estimate of 4.3%. FCA had similar numbers.
2. Tomorrow US unemployment claims are out...estimates around 9M. That's a difficult number to process.
Pleased to see this 30% of lows. GLA.
Stay safe.
Just ran a piece on CNN US Erin Burnett show about possible drug solutions and Synairgen was featured....interview with guy in lab explaining how delivery of the drug works and then CEO discussing the aim of drug.
Not bad for an AIM company based in Southampton.
Red...I am not qualified to talk about this just passing on what the administration professionals are saying daily here.
Dr Fauci seems the voice of reason here in US.

Seems the catalyst for latest fall is the fiscal stimulus package not getting enough votes to pass the first stage of vote in legislative.
Headlines are that it's a huge stimulus package but congress has no oversight how it is spent and mostly upto DJT and Munchin.
Will be done no doubt just as we are on the edge....
Both these drugs are getting media coverage here in US but the medical professionals at the daily briefings are cautious due to I believe there has been no trials on them completed as yet specifically for the virus.
Another US company, Abbvie, had a trial on an existing drug, which there was much hope about at commencement of the trial turned out to not provide any significant benefit so was a dud.
It's going to be a roller coaster couple of months.
