excellent input thanks. expecting a lot of analysis but also expecting a "commerciality" report (like we are expecting with UKOG at HH).....then the planning for the future. The key thing is the timescales IMHO

Very little future info for Balcombe on their site unless it is hidden....latest planning has this and that is it....so my questions and request for thoughts still stands.

Should the borehole flow testing and pressure monitoring works reveal that there are
hydrocarbon reserves that could viably be extracted in the future, then after stage 1 has
been completed the borehole would be temporarily suspended, whilst a new planning
application was prepared and submitted for the production stage. During this period all
plant and machinery would be removed from the site and the land would effectively lie
dormant pending the outcome of the planning application.

Just speculating what the next steps and likely timescales could be for Balcombe given the excellent test results and good prospects for commercial oil being produced here......

First I would assume is the production of final test report with an oil accessible figure from pressure tests? October?

Then there is a decision to be made whether to continue with the current oil well with limited diameter tubing OR whether a new well is required? October?

Then submission of planning for production at Balcomber either with / without additional wells being drilled? OR would it be a further, extended well test prior to this? Perhaps submitted December?

I am not sure of the finances of Cuadrilla as they seem focussed on fracking up in the North. So Finances would need to be put in place one way or another.

Then drilling, or EWT, and perhaps production in Q2 2019?

PS Of course this assumes that one of the big players does not come on the scene and buy up the Weald assets.

This bodes very well for HH production volumes as Balcombe has a single horizontal well and they actually saw 30000 BOPD but their equipment could not cope with this volume. Oil quality high. More water than expected (and intersection with a water filled layer that will need management).
So you could expect HH to be able to generate 1500 - 2000 BOPD with a horizontal drill......

and lets not forget the gas coming from the Portland - given the volumes stated this will pay for all of the ongoing site costs IMHO making the oil even more profitable.

adjusted profits up strongly and great growth in areas which are ongoing - results do not include latest corporate purchase. Adjustment arises from areas which have been discontinued which impacts overall revenue.

nice to get some more detail and shows intent to fully assess the area systematically with the latest techniques. BUT, it is rather a holding RNS with little actual news about the gold in place / opportunity.

On a positive note we should also be getting similar updates for the various fieldwork in Greenland this summer.

Horsehill news will be the real driver for the share price currently.
