They just keep on increasing . They're not worried about Big Mike anytime soon. Top of the shorts list
Agreed the broker ratings seem to strangely work with the shorts.
Surely with the stake building that's going on these would at least be a hold with a price target in the 30p range but that wouldn't help their friends much or any Christmas bonus from them?
Fraser's very likely to head to the 20% holding even if they don't intend a takeover surely we'll see some more BOD or Kamani buys or they could just lose control, Interesting times ahead, more reasons to hold or buy than sell now surely?
Interesting article, thanks Jeremy p
Unfortunately it goes to show how badly Boo are doing in the same economic environment. Hopefully the 'Mid flight' comment might just see off some of the shorters?
Interesting times ahead
If Big Mike was prepared to throw millions at Debenhams last time and lost it he'll have the bit between his teeth this time. He'll need to pick up alot more stock yet to worry the Kamanis.
I still don't understand why Umar bought before the results were out. Surely Daddy told him to hold off the results were rubbish?
The shorts won't rattle my cadge I'm in until the end now.
I agree about JL he's not proved his worth as CEO.
I'd like to be listening in to the conversations in the Boohoo board room today. They need to be ready either buy more of their own shares (unlikely especially JL) or be ready for Big Mike having a seat at the table or maybe even owning that table.
Personally I'd prefer to see Next take Boohoo out with a cash and share offer. Just a point I sold 3k Next shares a while back for £14 and thought I'd done well! Now I own too many Boo shares so what do I know?
Full on short attack and the BOD haven't got a clue that to buy the company shares they run and as Mamud said at the start of the presentation ' all is good ' so why wouldn't they? JL just doesn't get it. Sitting back waiting for free shares doesn't count when your at the helm of a disaster share price fall!
Well the shorts were clever enough to know the results were rubbish and future guidance poor and probably the BOD are very unlikely to surprise with any buys. Shorts increasing at this level has to concern even the most bullish. Unfortunately I'm holding now this has been a should have sold last week share for the last two years now!
Just watched the opening minutes of the presentation again. How does Kamani senior come across? Sean yes thats his name Mamud, looks like a startled rabbit. Carol used to be up and presenting a good positive but now just hides behind the extra large glasses.
The shorts aren't going to let this go now.
What a mess.
All the property could well end up.in the Hands of the Kamani property company at a very good price. They looked after 1 son buying PLT at an excessive price, the Kamani property Co is owned by another. Time will tell. Pi's nailed again.
After the round of broker down grades today it seem that the hedge fund and shorting broker boys all went to the same school, there will be some extravagant Christmas parties this year. Poor Mike and Umar just wore the wrong school tie!
The last time Boo was this price it was a small company with growth potential and who had heard of Shein? Now its a large company struggling in a competitive market where next?
Distinct lack of BOD buys especially JL, maybe he doesn't realise that when directors promise jam tomorrow people are looking for them to buy a few?
New shorter joins the party.
Better than expected close let's hope we see BOD buys (unlikely) or Big Mike buying ?
Thanks Dad! Looks like Dad didn't tell No.1 son things weren't improving, but who told the short sellers? Another good day at the office for them!
They've been right alot more than they've been wrong so Tuesday going to be interesting . I think we know where this is going. I doubt we'll see any BOD buys.
Well done BooHOO down more than ASOS
Mop prices down from $1200 to below $360/Mt all while we've been waiting for the so called UK friendly Moroccan Government to issue a Esia just to get the project moving forward.
Nothing stopping this from hitting the 1p now it all stinks . This wouldn't have happened if EML was a US or Chinese company.
There's alot of noise about online killing off the high street yet there is more noise coming from the likes of The Coop and John Lewis about mass and unchecked theft , I've just been into a Wilkos in what I thought was a good area and the lady at the till said theft was a massive problem from that shop. At least with online they pay wear it then send it back to get their money back. What a 3rd world country to live in.
Large Earthquake in Morocco.
We'll be lucky to see the ESSIA for a long time now. The officials will be busy elsewhere.
Looks like MW are still increasing
