MM manipulation at it's finest. Given up trying to rationalise aim. 100% obvious that the share has been manipulated over the last couple of weeks. Just have to accept it. You can never beat the MMs hate to say but it is definitely true in my mind. Just have to accept the way things are at the moment but in time whether it be days or weeks, the sp will re rate accordingly and bigtime imo. Just have to forget about the day to day movements at the moment. The sp at the moment is completely out of sync with what OMI have it would seem

As usual the derampers come out of the woodwork...always happens....more than likely looking for a lower entry....they are best ignored as they serve no positive benefit on this board....such low life's....

Indeed...after over 6 months looking at EG at GGP, they walked. EG subsequently came out with not so good results. Newmont actually invested in OMI...that says it all for me.....

Why waste your time here then?.....I would rather trust Newmont....they know a thing or 2 about gold mining. This is going to be very big....

Agree. Aim shares are news led. Charts can help to show trends in general but have more value with blue chip stocks imo. Without news aim shares tend to drift down and are more prone to MM manipulation. News can drop any time and charts are useless when this happens. Was hoping for the sp to hold up today but the MMs just would not allow this. Hoping for some positive news next week.

Really wish i knew Randelbo76. Been in aim for many years and seen so much manipulation that defies logic. OMI do have a very small market cap with not many free shares available which makes the movements more magnified, no doubt some are trying to day trade as well. These are just some possible answers to the drop. I think the biggest factor is the MM's have such power to mess about with the sp to make money for themselves. You can't beat the MMs, so i just buy and look at the bigger picture. OMI have a big resource in play and Newmont are on board. That's all that counts imo

lol....maybe they took pity on you and thought they would give you a chance. Maybe if i ask for 20p they would listen to me....i wish. Either way these price won't last long. As aim shares go OMI is in such a strong position now, that the present sp will be a distant memory very soon imo. Just get what you can is my opinion.

Big spread and MMs have moved the sp quickly in the red. Another fishing trip maybe. Seems easy for them to move the sp up and down at will. So risky to be out of this share though. The sp will move up to much higher levels imo, Just a waiting game and so easy for the MMs to wrong foot people. A much bigger move can happen any time and confident this will move up very quickly in an instant.

Quiet start, expecting the sp to wake up very soon. Really wonder what caused the sudden move up yesterday, someone in the know maybe or just the MMs deciding to let the sp move up. News from Newmont or a board appointment could come any time. The sp can move very quickly upwards in an instant. Rather be in than out.

Lol...a rare occurance I agree...aim has a habit of causing much disappointment.....however OMI could well be that gem that shines through big time....with Newmont on board I feel the future here will be awesome.

Nice to see a blue day for a change...it was due any time...hopefully just the start of the recovery...onwards and upwards....

So many red days over the last few days with MMs and derampers forcing the sp down. This has come down so quickly from it's recent high. Turning point back up must be so close imo and when this turns back up, i expect it will move sharply back up. With Newmont on board this drop really makes no sense to me. Holding and waiting for a big move back up. So few shares around so won't take much for the upwards move to come especially from these low levels

Nothing is guaranteed especially with aim, however Newmont would have done considerable due dilligence before they were happy to buy in to OMI. This fact alone would suggest a very high probability of a very big gold find. Newmont have all the resources at hand when making investment decisions so they must know how big the find is likely to be. They don't invest for small returns

I think buying at these sort of levels will pay big dividends in the future. Just have to adjust my mindset and try to ignore the very short term happenings here. Eitherway Newmont have the knowhow, tech, experience in dealing with many projects and the resouces to prove this up. They have invested here, and did not in GGP, so that is good enough for me. Just a waiting game.

Put alot of faith in EG, Bhargav, as we both have but the poor results from there was the final straw for me. OMI has Newmont on board so adds alot of credibility for me hence my move over to here. All the info relating to their investment here suggests OMI have a very big high value resource and yes it may take time to realise. Just did not expect such a kicking in a short space of time with the sp. Alas i got my timing wrong. Did not think the sp could be hit so hard with Newmont on board. Either way will ride this out now as i do believe the gains here will be very high and eclipse the sort of gains possible with GGP. Would expect the sp to start to recover very soon now as it has dropped a fair bit from it's recent high and i thjink it is way oversold. I reckon many eyes are on OMI so it really is just a matter of time, before the big times come again here.

Have to agree. Also moved from GGP to here after the poor EG results. Would have been better staying there hate to say. Now have to stay the distance here. Fed up of trying to catch the next big mover. Will stick this one out now. I bought in because of the Newmont factor. This is a big plus despite the poor sp perforamce over the last few days. Newmont know what they are doing though may take a bit longer for things to materialise. A bit of posiive news though will push the sp back up very quickly. Think the next RNS will be very positive. Holding tight.

Very ironic that his negative stance seemed correct with hindsight however I think it was more standard deramping behaviour and just that things have worked in his favour....he did say he would buy in lower. Wonder if he did

Granted Royscot, those that have sold may well have panicked and not done any research. The reason i invested was down to Newmont getting involved. They clearly know what they are doing and passed on GGP after over 6 months of courting them. The news from GGP subsequently from their EG prospect was not so good. This confirms the reason why Newmont did not partner with GGP in my mind. The fact that Newmont partnered with OMI speaks volumes. The MM's are using their might to scare people, thrown in with de rampers, to sell and a vicious downward cycle is inevitable. Either way, the fact that Newmont are on board means this is just a temporary move down imo and the real value will shine through. Wish i had more money to invest here

The news was pretty much what was known imo and Newmont would have known this before buyng in. The MMs know how to mess with the sp whether you believe it or not. Seen it way too many time. Each to their own.
