Would be happy for a early buy out from Newmont. The valuation of OMI is so low, so a good offer from Newmont will be very welcome imo

Have to say can't believe the drop here over the last few days. Is it MMs really messing with us? Really hope the sp will recover. Never saw this drop coming to this extent. Very sobering. With Newmont on board, surely this is a big positive sign. They would have done all their due dilligence before buying in, hence this drop to me makes no real sense other than the MMs using their might to pull the sp down temporarily.

Today's rns did not have anything bad in as such so surprised and disappointed with the sp today....and to think I moved from ggp to here.... :(....will just have to ride this out....still believe all will be good but days like today are a real kick in the teeth

Each to their own. The sp behaviour imo does look heavily manipulated down and i think the MMs have used the market wobble as an excuse to push the sp down. Even GGP has managed to stay level today. Would have expected then to fall as well if this drop in OMI is because of the current general market wobble. Either way expecting a big rebound here

This can turn back up very quickly. Think this has been pushed way too far down and will spring back up very quickly locking those out on the sidelines

Wonder if this drop is orchistrated by the MMs to trigger stop losses and gather up shares ready for the next big move up. Maybe they are using this opportunity to keep pushing the sp down while they can. This drop has surprised me to be honest but expect it will turn back up very quickly. MM manipulation very apparent imo

News of drilling and hopefully a board position on OMI is what i am thinking of. Also The sp can shoot up all of a sudden when the MMs are happy to let it move up. No doubt many are waiting to get in and will look to top up at these prices imo. Expecting the sp to shoot up at any point

Really feels like the sp is being heavily manipulated. Really am surprised it keeps falling. Must be due a sharp reverse back up imo. Annoying to see this drop bearing in mind all the postives in play for OMI

Thought the sp would have faired better but i guess just have to let the market play around with the sp in the short term. The quicker tje drop, the quicker it will move back up imo. Wish i had more funds to top up. Don't think it will stay at these low prices for long. Expect there will be many wanting to get in now or top up. Some news update must be very close imo as well

Newmont used their tech and spent over 6 months at GGP and eventually no deal but they have gone with OMI. The results from EG at GGP subsequently were a damp squib. That suggest Newmont were correct to walk away from GGP. They have gone with OMI. That tells me one thing, that OMI will be massive.

The Newmont effect does have a major sway here. With hindsight Newmont walking on GGP now makes sense. With Newmont on board here and their reputaion, i am so much more confident with OMI moving up big time. I would expect news to drop soon here, either drilling news or maybe a board position appointment via Newmont? Does not take much to move the sp upwards once the news starts rolling in. A whiff of positive news will have a big positive impact on the sp so holding and waiting

So many positives with OMI, it's a wonder the sp is still at these very lowly levels. Won't stay at these levels for long imo. With Newmont on board and their stringent investment appraisal for investing in projects, OMI's low market cap and few shares available, surely OMI will multiply many times from here.

Yep i remember seeing that post....what a joker he is....Trying his best to deramp to get in lower. I think i will stick with Newmont's assessment of what OMI have...

Newmont are a very big outfit and know their stuff. Was in GGP but have sold out for the time being following the results from EG. It is obvious with hindsight why Newmont did not partner with GGP. But they did partner with OMI. Newmont clearly see massive potential with OMI and have the tech and knowhow to determine this. They would not invest just for a few months to make a 'few bucks'. They don't just invest in a company on a whim. They are after much bigger gains which OMI looks to have. People that deramp have an agenda and change their tune when they wish to buy or sell. Clearly Chicken is a trader and wants to get in lower for now. Not worth taking any notice of his comments as they are merely designed to help his trading startegy. Very short sighted imo

MM games as usual. Trying to mask the buys i wonder why?

Some traders go hot and cold on a share to match their trading. Such people are best ignored. Their posts are designed to wind people up and suit whether they are buying or selling. The facts here are a big player like Newmont like what they see here. They spent ages at GGP and decided not to proceed. This in itself shows me how big OMI will be. Also there are few shares in circulation and the market cap of OMI is very small. Holding as the rewards here are likey to be massive in a short time span. Don't thnik Newmont are going to waste any time to get things proved up here. Also a seat on the board of OMI is vacant... My money is on Newmont putting one their guys on the board. Makes sense to me.

Couln't believe OMI was at £3 in the past. Looked at the chart and it reached around £3 in 2006. A long time ago, yes, and be interesting to know how many shares were in issue then. Either way it shows what how high OMI had reached in the past. £1 in the coming months really does seem very credible at least imo

A lot of positive sentiment here today...I echo much of the analysis today. Which ever way we look at the deal between Newmont and Omi, the sp will surely be way higher over the coming days,weeks and months imo. For my part, once Newmont are happy with the find, they will then look to buy out Omi. Newmont is a big player and Omi is a tiddler. Why have a lengthy arrangement when you can just buy Omi out lock, stock and barrel. Newmont have massive resources so a buyout is a logical move...this is likely to happen in a few months imo.

They spent over 6 months at ggp and eventually no deal....results from ggp eventually not so good which suggests Newmont were right to not go with ggp...Omi on the other hand must have a massive deposit to get Newmont interested....big re rate due soon for Omi imo
