Still trading at discount to nav of 41%

A definite pick up in volume and price . I presume one way until 2nd June

The share buy back is in the interests of the Directors to allow them a larger percentage of shares. ( may be over 50% now ) and a strangle hold .

It is also a very good investment which is why I am fully on board and the discount to NAV will narrow naturally and with the help of buybacks .

This is a very safe investment and the discount to NAV will not get larger

We could be in for an interesting period , The NAV of Wilsons has not been calculated on a daily basis ( unlike HANA) and so there may well be a revaluation . Also there has been a 100,000 share purchase and cancellation , which wont move the price much but does show willing . So now we have a cash rich and grossly undervalued investment trust , the type that attracts the attention of the likes of SABA, in anticipation

I reckon it's at a 41 % discount to NAV At a price of 11.90 There is a solid amount of cash in the bank and some decent investments in both Hana and Ocn . i was able to tender the maximum amount of shares which I am now using to buy at this level .

Odd that all of the shares were not tendered ( and so sequestered) and that they are then sold for almost 10 % less than the lowest tender price on the open market

Looking at your maths , would it not be sensible to tender all OCN shares ( at the strike price) and reinvest in HANA ( unless the price of Hana has increased dramatically ) . The tender is for 20% of the existing shares the main shareholders are not offering their shares so I expect we would get about 50% of our tendered shares sold . Also to ensure the sale of the OCN shares surely we should go for the strike price rather than hoping to get a premium at the expense of not selling the shares at all.

My buys coming in today. After the consolidation the NAV will become very attractive

What would happen if they used the cash to buy out Hansa? Would the discount increase?

I thought the Ocean Wilsons Dividend paid on the 28th May would make a 2% increase in the NAV --ie about 8p

With all the spare cash they could buy a stock that has a solid base and good management , is busier than ever , pays a great dividend and whose share price is on the climb . It goes by the ticker Port3 . Also the dividend declared yesterday will give Ocean Wilsons another 12 million US (before tax) on the 28th March

The trade at 1.78 marked as a sell was a Buy be me for 50000 shares In for a penny! Catch that falling knife!

I understand the risks but this technology will be increasingly needed in immunotherapy. A large pharmaceutical company could just buy it

I do agree . Wilson Sons are doing well and producing a covered dividend. Probably bringing in more revenue than the other investments .

So they have spent a whole year looking at the options and decided to sell the majority shareholding at market price --I thought at least a 30% premium .
