Oh and as I have said before, we probably have the largest shale gas reserves of any country in Europe . We could be selling it but better still declare it a uk asset not governed by world prices and only on sale in the UK would be even better
I cannot see how electricity produced from coal is going be cheaper than electricity produced by wind power. The set up cost may be more expensive for wind, but in the long run that will equal out and then turn in as a cost saving
Oh yes hydrogen storage , you seem to think it is wonderful ...... but before we all slaver over it, could you tell us all when with hydrogen storage produce a profit in the UKOG books, 2030, 2040, 2050 .I think also you will find that the safety regulations that will eventually come into play, if hydrogen every becomes effective, will be very strict indeed because hydrogen gas is highly explosive when exposed to oxygen and that can happen by accident on ir a road collision example. Moreover, for hydrogen to provided motive power it has to be mixed with oxygen and then ignited .How long do you think it will be before Greenpeace or some other such oranisaton latch onto this and claim that billions of cars propelled by hydrogen is depleting the world's supplies of oxygen. There is already evidence that the oxygen content of the atomsphere is lower today than it used to be ! What does look promising is electrical power ,If naturally produced , apart from at the construction stage, it does little to pollute and it does not produce lots of waste heat which contributes to global warming .There are already small electrically driven aircraft being tested and batteries today only weigh a fraction of what they used to .The future is electro magnetic .In the future hydrogen will undoubtedly be banned because it is too dangerous for just everybody each with their differing concerns about the danger and those just too lazy to bother about taking precautions
More than a hint that it was one huge oilfield from Broadford Bridge right across the weald .More than a billion barrels at one time and increased by yet another oil lake beneath that . Pity it all seems to have dried up ?
So much wasted energy and advice wasted about perf guns etc .The only thing share holders are really interested in is, have they got oil in commercial quantity. How they get it out of the ground is up to the oil industry . At the moment there has been no declaration of commercial assets .....That is all we are interested in!
Well said. The assumption by the greens, which is mostly supported by adolescents - hence still got a lot to learn, seems to be that if you stop oil abruptly we would change to an alternative overnight. In reality it would still take years and years to replace it and in that time millions would be thrown out of work .Yes we need to get out of oil but at a rate that protects the economy too. Students may reflect that after university, they need a job to go to !
Oh come come back from fantasy land, 'Paid de-rampers', in a so far and predicted to be confirmed in the future failure of a company. This is AIM G-M where some people buy as little as £10 of shares . Who is this shadowy organisation that its paying people in here to deramp a company that has not shown any success in its whole existence. You dont have to de-ramp UKOG, it does it, itself !
Ramp is a much misused term in here. This is AIM, the poor man's stock market , to ramp really you have to be able to shift millions or have a well known name in shares .Moving a couple of hundred thousands, either way, would not affect UKOG, 100,000,000 yes , maybe .I think if one of the feelers of a big oilie indicated that UKOG was sitting on a mother lode , they would have brought the company out for peanuts , in their terms. We are here to pay the BoD salaries , nothing else that is our mission.I am glad that we are able to keep them in style . No half measures now ! We must take our pleasure in every time Mr Sanderson buys a new car and ensure that he only holidays in exotic places and eats in the best restaurants. Oh yes how about putting him forward for a knighthood . We do want our money spent by posh sounding people , not the dregs of society !
sloppyweak governments have given away to inmature student politics and curtailed the development of uk shale gas, of which we potentially have plently .i dont know exacely how many properties domestic and commercial are warmed by gas central heating .lets take a ball park figure and call it 15 million . assuming that a good alternative green heat source were discovered tomorrow , three years to tool up the factories making the new boilers ,god knows how many years, and what the expense would be to convert the uk . perhaps 20 years would see it done.but we are not at the stage of evening having a viable alternative to gas yet.so lets say 50 to 60 years .meantime we are going to need gas and importing it will not lessen global warming , it is simply produced elsewhere but the atmosphere is common to the whole plane****antime if you produce you own gas you can control the market price by government decree, so you do not have to pay the world price for it . so answer for the economy of the country is open up the shale deposits in the uk and stop wasting the countries cash keeping arabs, and possibly even russians. employed exporting gas to us
And what difference will that make Ocelot .If there was oil there under pressure it would have blown in via holes no larger than that made by a nail. The bigger size can only prove a trickle of oil that may, or may not be commercially viable . It doesn't really look hopeful .However, if you go on day to day predicting , in turn, that one of UKOG;s wells may prove you right and you will crow how you was right, regardless of the thousand, or more predictions you have made in the past that came to nothing . I suspect, as do others, that you maybe in the pay of the Company ? Anyway I need someone who is useful at useless predictions.I aim to set up a company to mine for gold on the moon, we would like to take you on as our expert in these matters
Exactly, you are right. There really ought to be Stock Exchange laws , re failing companies and salaries ought to be tied to the worth of the company as expressed by share prices .Otherwise it is just a gravel train in which useless executives pickup the same salaries as successful company executives
Indeed, I would have thought that a drill passing through oil bearing strata you yield the density of oil in the core sample as well as exert pressure up the pipe as it bit in ..Thus there is no explosive gusher and they are looking for trickle feed from a larger area .They have that right here inthe UK,so why go and waste money in Turkey
While the UK pays over the odds for foreign gas they refuse to exploit our considerable reserves of it . You are not saving the environment by importing gas , in fact you are probably adding to the problem because a big tanker of gas can use up to 300 tons of oil per day to get here .So why not find our own
If they thought it profitable then any of the major oilies could have brought UKOG with the petty cash they keep in an office draw .So far their assessment and intelligence has not pointed to it being viable . They could be wrong but they do empoy some very expensive experts
