Neodymium/NdPr oxide prices have increased significantly driven by additional demand for magnets for EV's, drones (which have become a core part of any military strategy) as well as wind parks and other traditional uses. The big factor that has not yet had a meaningful impact on demand is the mass roll out of humanoid robots, but this is in the pipeline and in my view will be the new big thing in the next decade
Not all humanoid robots need Neodymium magnets, but the higher performance ones with multiple and fast movement absolutely need this to function and this is where I see China moving their EV dominance into next. They sit perfectly on the high end with ample availability of all resources, including high performance magnets
The previous record price for NdPr oxide was around 150,000 Yuan / Kg, which was achieved about 5 years. I expect that this will be surpassed within this cycle and be underpinned longer term by the new mass roll out of Humanoid robots, further advances and take up of EV's and more rapid rollout of next gen wind turbines.
MKA will certainly not be the dominant player in all of this, but we don't need that. What will do very well is an intergrated mand focused mining/separation business in MKAR that could reach a market cap on the nasdaq of USD 1 billion plus and recycling plants going into production in Europe, US and Asia, driving a Hypromag related market cap of up to USD 2 billion across all arms of that business. This is huge upside from today's levels with a combination of mining, separation and cutting edge recycling technology
