Just noticed a rise in the reported short position. The share price has been remarkably steady considering the sales - unless of course the sales have been reported late and occurred several days ago. The shorter seems to like punishment.
With the tin price well above $40k/tonne, drilling news likely to come through soon, and a war in the offing which would be likely to send materials prices rocketing, being short does not look a happy place to be.

I think the "orphan period" on the Lassonde curve is driven by the risk of not getting funding, or getting funding but at a dilutive cost. TUN are well beyond that as they have raised more money than their target and can finance their way through to production assuming the permitting comes through as expected. So I think the weakness in the share price is not reflected in any part of the L Curve but is unique to TUN's position waiting for permitting.
Given the UK's need for strategic materials and jobs, the fact that the mine has been permitted in the past, the solutions that TUN has found to past problems of low frequency noise, I am optimistic about permitting.

Does anyone have info about the cost of 1. buying and 2. running the xray sorting machines ? It seems to me if they are a fairly new technology they could be financially transformative for many low grade resource operations

I understand that CL have looked at around 70 processes before they decided on the extraction methods they are currently running with. Perhaps the Li-Cycle approach was one of them?

Many thanks. I have now had a look at the links - most interesting. The more people who see that graph of the Lassonde curve, the more people there will be who try to invest in the "orphan period", I guess. I wonder if following publication of the idea of the curve whether the graph has flattened as investors try to buy in that orphan period.
For TUN, we have had the institutional investment so we should be going towards the peak of the curve now. The question therefore arises as to why? Nervousness over permitting? Intermediaries who were paid in shares for their efforts leading to flotation selling their shares perhaps? As someone observed it could be a big buying opportunity. To be able to buy at a price some 15-20% below the price paid by serious institutions who will have done loads of due diligence, mine visits etc, is, in my view not to be ignored.

The FTSE 100 has been led by miners and consumer staple stocks, while banks rose in anticipation of a second consecutive rate hike from the Bank of England meeting on Thursday..........
The blue-chip index was up 0.6pc to 7,583, extending gains for the second session..................
Among miners, Glencore and Rio Tinto were among the top gainers tracking stronger metal prices.

Will take a look. I am new to WRES and am trying to keep tabs on tin/tungsten shares in the UK/Spain especially Cornwall.
(CUSN, SML, TUN, Srtategic Mineral Europe. with Cornish Lithium to come, followed by Cornish Tin and maybe British Lithium hopefully in a year or two.

Given a small amount of selling has driven the price down significantly, I think that it is probably a lack of news flow which is the cause of the share price fall. That may change in the next couple of months. Hopefully the new screens to combat low frequency noise, allied to negative sound production will sort out the past major environmental problem. That may enable permitting to restart production. As you state, this appears to be a decent buying opportunity - getting in to the shares at a big discount to the price offered to institutions! Albeit with risk.

3rd video. I hope TUN produces another drone video like this to update us. It would be helpful to have a voice commentary recorded over the top, to describe what we are seeing and what is going to happen to the elements of the plant being shown.

I had not seen Max being interviewed alone before. He seems to have a good grip on what is going on and explains well.

Many thanks - I have not seen the first video at least before so am now starting to go through it. Then the others.
The company would benefit from increased communications with shreholders as there has been little info since the IPO. However that should not be a surprise as they have a lot to be getting on with. EA submissions/talks, planning production re-start, addressing feedback from local residents, upping sales of aggregate and more. I think MT ( TUN's major presenter for the IPO, has moved on) Other directors need to take up the comms challenge perhaps.

Agreed H2 Industries may have difficulties with tar and naptha, but given they are doing what PHE aims to do, with the same input - unrecyclable plastic - how PHE deals with this challenge will be informative for shareholders. Either, PHE has patents which protect its position in the industry (gasification of unrecyclable plastic) from competition, and it uses those patents to protect its position; or it does not have the protection, or cannot afford the legal costs of using that protection.
If PHE prevents H2 Industries from starting up in Egypt we will know we have exclusive ownership of the technology or if not we will know that PHE does not have exclusivity and therefore our hopes of licensing many DMG units at £500k a unit are pie in the sky.

Interesting. Why would UK investors wait until the evening then buy at a price 20% higher than in the UK? I thought it was probably Canadians chasing the price up yesterday evening after our close, with the UK price rise this morning as someone arbitraged the difference - UK price up 10% and Canadian price down 10%. Only the buyers and their brokers know!
With most of the BoD based in Canada I wondered if there had been a meeting/presentation over there before the company goes into its closed period. (Y/E is 31 January ) i.e. yesterdays date.
I take it as a good sign that the buying seems to be coming from where the BoD is based. Good luck. Drilling news soon hopefully.

MO There is a new biz park near Bristol. From the website:-

Clicking on the link and than watching the video cam pan around shows after about 30 seconds a huge flat area currently fields, next to the new road. see

Not sure if the fields are part of the new park, but money may turn fields into a development site.
