As a "newer" poster to the site, I find your comment mildly offensive. Newer posters are quite likely to ask questions and want to gain information, as well as trying to contribute. What is wrong with that?

I think they might have lost a packet in early Q4 on punters bets going against them. That probably caused their caution when discussing the FY outlook at the time of Q3 results. Just a hunch, but I can't think of another logicial explanation. As you say, we will see shortly, with a pre-close update. Hopefully with all the volatility in the last quarter there will have been a huge amount of trading and good profits as well as a rise in the number of punters giving a good outlook for 2021.

There are many motivations for posting on the BB. Some are purely good - such as passing the message on about something that will be good for the world, some are good but tinged with self interest - e.g. wanting others to know but also follow on with buying after one has satisfied ones own investment requirements. Someone may post to get the share price down so they can buy for less. There is also the possibility that a poster works as a market maker and is short of shares. His/her bonus may depend on the performance of his/her book. His motivation will be to try to cause selling so as to balance up his /her book, and not be short if there is another wave of buying. Its a market, but we have an idea which category each poster falls into. All posters can decide who gets their "oxygen" of support/reply.

DR A I hope you are right. As someone noted though this Japanese possibility is a long time coming through. I saw this elsewhere as an end of 2018 tip for 2019! :-

I hope this is not Toyota gleaning all info they can before doing it themselves. - 2 years on from noting advanced commercial discussions! Patience is indeed needed or perhaps misplaced. I would be getting the patent application in Japan PDQ.

According to today's announcement Peel appear to be i/c the NW area. As Peel has UK rights, how will PHE get into the areas outside the NW under the wing of others?

A really good set of posts - Thanks Kenny100 and Telephoneman . This is of critical importance. If PHE can protect its IP robustly, and has the time, energy and money to mount legal challenges to all copycats, then they may have a system for global use. I wonder how easy it will be to stop Chinese and other copying?
Has PHE given any idea as to when the patent applications will be submitted?
FOAK........ EQT have had one running in Spain for 10? years. Would the PHE process be very different / more productive do you think?

I see that EQT is collaborating with a number of universities to try to develop the process, the danger of that being that the company IP is broadcast to the world in doctorates and articles in journals.

Given Toyota is excited about PHE's technology, I guess Honda would also be. Does anyone know if PHE have stated they have met Honda too?
It seems 700 Hydrogen refuelling sites are needed in Japan. (£5,600bn cost approx.)
PHE needs a partner with deep pockets. Consortium - Toyota/Honda/ Japanese Govt perhaps?

I agree this is critical. PHE needs to have world-wide patents if it has not already got them? One wonders how much technical know-how has been extracted from PHE by negotiating parties.
