There is unquestionably an air of despondency and disappointment among many investors in 88e , whom I assume events over the last 18 months as failure to deliver on the much vaunted `CTC` and `1.00 Party` folklore . Some have admitted to selling up , some to radically reducing their holdings . I don`t have a problem with any of that . From what I can see `The Real Story ` is just about to get underway , and with our new partner in PMO we have a quality Company now about to do the heavy lifting . That is in itself is a major step forward and the results of their quarter one endeavours and not THAT far away . Then I have to consider all the other possible outcomes and potential of other projects . There`s never a dull moment in this exploration business !
~~~ Yes , what a nasty day at the `Parrish Pump` , but I fully expect people to be singing from the roof tops come mid 2020 instead of throwing rotten tomatoes from the stalls .
Well said Gary !
While in no way wishing to detract from your excellent post , it reminds me of Romania in 1990 just after their revolution . Stray dogs everywhere , crippled , destitute people living under cardboard or if they were lucky in the heating and sewerage pipework beneath the streets of Bucharesti , horse and cart transport and subsistence living in the countryside . .
Curiously many young people were both educated and quite fluent in several languages which they had learned by watching TV ! The Communist Government became `Capitalists` overnight promising reform , same faces different agenda , but the same undercurrent of corruption persisted . Romania was eager to join the EU , and the EU recognising the potential of their agriculture , natural resources and tourism , welcomed them to the `Club`. In many ways Romania has been transformed , with huge expenditure on infrastructure courtesy of the generosity our erstwhile unelected bureaucratic bankers in Brussels . Sadly the old saying persists :`You can take the boy out of the Bronx , but you can`t take the Bronx out of the boy .`
There is some even greater wealth for the privileged and the politicians (who change direction with the wind ) but sadly , poverty is still endemic , and as with many Eastern European Countries , a substantial percentage of the population long for the return of Communism , which afforded them more comfort and security . This grossly uneven and hugely disproportionate division of wealth is a very serious problem for democracy and ~ imv ~ possibly the greatest challenge facing the West , second only to the issues surrounding climate change .
Sorry to ramble on but the message is ; I really do hope that the Georgian Government succeed in providing a genuinely better standard of living for all their people and can through independence and self sufficiency escape the clutches and even worse corruptive practices of their Communist neighbours . Self sufficiency in Energy is fundamental .
Let`s hope BLOE becomes a crucial piece of the framework for their future prosperity .
Thanks for your Georgian report and I`m sure you will enjoy the rest of your visit .
Yes , it`s a sign !
I have just walked past a brand spanking new beautiful metallic white AMG Mercedes 6.3 Bi Turbo V8
in Main St , Andover , Mass , USA . Cost in excess $100,000 .
Enough presence to bloe just about anything away , especially a loud mouthed bloke with a mike on a bike .
Registration No : ~~~ AJW ~~~
" What`s for you wont go by you . "
Yep ~ It`s a sign !!
Hi Reaper , I can assure you I have absolutely NO fantasies whatsoever in connection with the weird world of
`S*x , Rock n`Roll ` so often inhabited by "Celebrities" (?) with too much money , too few values and too much time on their hands . I see so many of them simply as curiosities , but would welcome their wealth as serious investors in 88e , perhaps DW could tap into the next Glastonbury !
I hope that doesn`t make me hypocritical :)
What a pity the sp is 77p and not 88p , which I`m sure would seriously improve much needed sentiment at the moment .
Chartman ~~~ I`m pleased to hear that you are not claiming to be `The Eggman`.
~~~ `Apparently `~~~ ! ~~~~John Lennon gave that nickname to Eric Burdon . While Burdon was out of his mind using amyl nitrate his Jamaican girlfriend Sylvia used to crack an egg over his ***** and then give him o**l **x !
Funny old world !
When Burdon shared the story with John at a party that included all sorts of willing girls, John “egged him on” (sorry, I couldn’t resist): “Go on, go get it, Eggman.”
IDE Shareholders clearly have a positive view of future prospects :
• Loan notes subscribed for by existing shareholders, Company now has no external debt other than with key shareholders
· Strong pipeline of opportunities with both existing and new customers and partners
· Group trading profitably at an Adjusted EBITDA** level for year to date
News should get this really motoring !
Very interesting share register , which likely explains the 21.5% spread !
I managed to buy a few and I think that the slightest bit positive news from the Company will see a dramatic rerate .
Could be an interesting few weeks .
Since the FO there has been quite a noticeable uplift in volume , unfortunately the SP has gone south not north which logically suggests that there has been more selling than buying .
I can only assume that some people view five months as too long to wait and some are clearly spooked by the prospect of a CR before we start drilling . With AIM , you just don`t know , there is never seems to be anything obvious about share price movements and buys /sells are impossible to read accurately . asaics .
All very frustrating .
Even investors who know very little about the Oil Industry can see he`s not the only only one on this thread who probably knows more about a bobeer/d than a boo/d .
Th problem seems to be attention seeking and insecurity which motivates these people to grace us with their superior `expertise `and `professional `knowledge . Some of them seem to want to dominate the thread 24/7 . Somewhat moronic as their repetitive rantings simply erode any credibility they might have had .
I can`t help feeling that there has been a `teeny bit of tinkering `and a `weeny bit of financial engineering ` to get the share price to this level . Why and for the benefit of whom I have no idea , the buys and sells are impossible to translate and frankly will have zero effect on the longer term prospects for 88e . Someone perhaps well (sorry!) connected wanted in perhaps someone wanted out . Monday sees the return of `The Spivs` and the start of a new era for 88e . I feel that we`ve seen the bottom of the barrel and as we start this latest phase in the development of the Company I am as sure as I can be that the sp will start to creep Northward , the seem to be so many possibilities an acceleration in interest could come at any time and it seems that even DW is showing some modest signs of enthusiasm !
The Proactive interview is definitely worth watching again if for no other reason than because the ; `Spivvy Pre-prepared Andrew Scott` has been replaced by a somewhat desirable Lady .
A sign that the Earth might start to move on Monday !
Good luck everybody .
~~~"It really does show you the Calibre of people you are dealing with here."~~~
Hey TUCKER ! It really does demonstrate the stupidity of some posters here who hate the Company and have not sold up ;
worse still , some mentally ******ed individuals who have sold up but continue to post negative trash on the thread .
Which description suits you best ?
I thought that distemper in Dogs had been eradicated in the UK ?
Canine distemper is associated with depression , thick mucus coming from the mouth eyes and nose , sudden vomiting and diarrhea .
All dogs should get a check up and should ask for mental health check while they are in the Vets .
~~~ nurse ~ NURse ~ NURSE ! ~~~ HELP !! ~ They`ve all got out ~ The mental ward is empty ~ They`ve escaped !
Don`t worry , this happens from time to time , there are two possible solutions :
Let the hounds out to run them down , the soiled bedclothes , lack of spacial awareness , communication and coordinated movement makes it simple to round the looneys up .
Alternatively , just let them loose for a bit , they`re harmless enough and will find a way back to their beds when they get cold and hungry and can`t find anyone to scream at . Anyway they probably need a bit of excercise .
Dodge , Interesting post . I posted something similar a few weeks ago . It would not not surprise me to see the separation of Rom and Zim , and if funds do become an absolute critical issue perhaps the disposal of Zim . I imagine that AP will hold the Romanian assets until every last possible finance route has been exhausted . After that ~~~ ?
