The effects of fintech & so called tec progress in general should be mitigated a bit more by government IMO. Yes I know we've got a fantastic service sector that's providing employment for those who did back office roles at banks who've lost their jobs, but could more be done to stimulate employment say in the Arts and other sectors which would enrich society in general? Think of the benefits.... If we had better access to poetry, art, mime, expressive dance & stuff like jazz music we'd all be much more intouch with the left side of our brains, the knock on effects would be tremendous, less crime & just a more stimulating life in general. As a society we need to put more water between us and 2nd world nations what we should do is make it illegal to hoard so much wealth, keep it in the economy to enrich the lives in the arts and service sectors that's what I say.
What about the cashless society as well? Because you can't get a doctors appointment anymore several of my friends swear by going to massage parlours for a quick rub down and a couple of pints after they say it makes them feel better & they don't need to spend hours in waiting on the phone for an appointment, just one industry that would be hit overnight if we were to go cashless. The vindictive amongst you would argue for tighter cashless controls to eliminate tax dodgers etc but who wants to give big brother more ammo?
