There have been numerous captured Russian soldiers questioned.... and seemed dazed, hazy, confused about their exact purpose of being there.
I have had this thought.... that to some degree not only do I feel great sadness and empathy to the poor souls in Ukraine, I also feel badly for the general public /normal civilians of Russia. Not only that, exactly why I mentioned this article.... to feel sorry for many Russian soldiers that don’t have the genuine truth of why they are there.....
It’s a terrible duped war that’s totally Putin and his highest officials.

Maybe a flip side to your thought Maestro that in fact clearing house on the football as the club has much higher profile so he can concentrate on other aspects... maybe to increase investments here.

not looking for loans to repaid (soaking up losses),
has a potential buyer already.
Wants this all done quickly due to threat of sanctions imposed.
Will pass on proceeds of sale (I think proceeds and not just profits) to help financially support war torn Ukraine (as title of this thread mentions.... charitable)

This weirdly may well be received positively for Evraz although right now that’s not the most important aspect.

or the speculative "rumoured" paid posters to either ramp or de-ramp.

so don't fall for it.....make your own due diligence on any given share, take some balance in that and then, and only then, be confident enough to invest or simply don't if not confident enough. once decision is made....it's you and you alone that has made that decision.

have to admit Puss, it's a reasonable deduction to consider. this is a time to simply sit back, hold and let the dust settle in market moods.

it could also give some the opportunity to have a pretty solid top up for this "should" bounce back healthily once there's a retrace in commodities (particularly oil) and if (with a bagful of hope) talks resume and are more positive, therefore to help to calm the Ukraine issue.

As a sidenote, Puss...... your username always irks me as.... who on earth would want to kick a puss.... ? (not looking for the footballer retort...just being straight here)

personally i think its much more straightforward than over analysis as this is an extreme situation... i reckon its merely down to volume bought sold and when. now that were looking at charts going back 5 years I've looked at key volume areas and thinking of lth'ers and institutional investment....might sound curveballed but this is often where we "breakthrough" up or down. hence we've broken through the regions already mentioned.... next stop potentially 112 regions, after that sub 100 but i, at present, can't see that occurring.
to go back on your comments about rsi etc.... they've all been blown out of the water imo hence simplifying and back to basics.
