Interested re figures. I invested in a co that declared Maiden at 600,000 ozs. They have since published amended (NI 43-101 rather than Jorc as Canadian) estimates as additional infill has been carried out .(inferred to indicated etc etc)

This was brought up the other day and I started to research MRE. In the main, it is understood to be Mineral Resource Estimate however GH (in the 6-9 months RNS) refers to Maiden Resource Estimate. As such, this particular MRE can be declared before full extent is known. Only stipulation is that the figures arrived at are in line with JORC guidelines . In other words the infill drilling used to arrive at the Maiden (or initial estimate ) are to the satisfaction of the Competent Person.

If, therefore, we get the MRE within timeframe and edges have still not been found, well, need I say more.

Stuart, please accept my deepest apols if you were aware of all this; it is just that I wasn’t so read up on it.

Just in after Sunday tea at Mother-in-Laws. ( Potato cakes instead of usual roast (superb) if of any interest) . Anyway I was (am) excited for what the week might bring and decided to have a crafty shufty at the board!

Well I have to chuckle Old Timer. You are in the news rather! I went cold for a moment and thought I was in trouble. Went through the posts and have to say that if you are not for real then your talents are wasted. That said, there have been some really weird posters on here of late and can therefore understand why suspicions were aroused and challenges issued.

Anyway, I hope I was not taken in and that you are, in fact, an honest Old Timer. I tend to go off syntax and spelling as well as content and will be most upset if I was wrong on this occasion. For what it is worth I don’t think I was and hope to hear more from you.

Re your earlier question...

The first of those 4 drill holes in a line was begun during week prior to 12.11.19. The remaining 3 followed in quick succession and were all visible by Xmas. We wondered if drilling in one of the 4 had recommenced following the 2 week shut down as the first image after the break indicated activity. Now, of course, we have the 5th hole started near the bank of 4.

We have not had any results yet from any those initial 4 . (99 per cent certain)

For consideration....

Most common is a failure, which leaves a hole in everyone's pocket, including that of the banks and investors.

The second fate occurs when a junior has enough success to justify a major paying a decent premium to gobble it up, leading to decent returns all around.

In the third and most rare fate, a junior finds a large deposit of a mineral that the market wants a lot of – it is a magical combination of the right deposit at the right time. When this happens, juniors can return more in a few days than a major will return in years.

I was discussing this with a mate the other day and we did not reach a conclusion.

Our main point was early production ( bearing in mind Telfer situation, proximity, new situation’s vacant etc) V MRE.

We wondered if NC had a cutoff point in mind. In other words, once they prove up X mn ounces would they then go to pre-feas and production BEFORE the full picture emerges or would they press on with infill and step-out to prove up nearer to the full resource amount Y mn ounces.

Everyone is certain this is a race against time but would that be enough for NC to risk the former option?
