Afternoon Mads and Nice. I read your post on yesterday Nice and shared it with a couple of colleagues who do not visit LSE or other boards. My rationale was to point out your concerns that you had presented in such a clear and balanced manner. The post from Mads today tends to support such views.
There are points made by you both that I cannot now argue with. There would appear to be no doubt now that the ‘old style on the ground miner/explorer’ is no longer sufficient in this electronic ‘gimme now or better still yesterday’ world. Many of us, Bill included, are not fans of this evolution, however I ain’t a CEO and he is, and, as such, you have to run with the pack or fade. There is little to no doubt now that Bills reluctance to move with the times has led to the current woeful mcap /sp and the vulnerability that this, perhaps, brings.
On the other hand, however, you refer to drilling holes Mads in a manner that is almost throwaway. (I don’t think that is completely your intention mind). People I know with whom I have discussed the geology of Bam leave me in no doubt that Bill and his team have worked wonders, not just in proving up our 1.5 million, but in doing so, have tracked some pretty narrow en-echelon seams with few misses and thereby associated low drill meterage costs. Additionally, and most importantly, they would appear to have reached their all important strategic target. This is, in general terms, the mid tiers or majors bottom line.
So where does that leave us now. In my opinion, we are waiting on the Cube documentation that will let us market what we have. Wether we have buyers yet lined up remains to be seen, but there is little doubt in my mind that a sales process will be started at some point in the near future. As such, I do not see any major drill programme starting targeting either gold or nickel. I do, however, fancy that there may be a limited drill campaign moving a little west into areas previously documented, and which will, in all likelihood, run alongside attempts to sell this baby.
I consider that gold will be key, and that the nickel, valuable though it is, will play second fiddle to this. So, whilst (especially on telegram) people grumble about timeframes and spout ‘no news shocking management’ nonsense, I am waiting on the full fat NI43-101 and PEA. I reckon that will start a sales process and sale announcement made in line with the mergers and acquisitions code. The questions then are
1. Are (or is) there interested parties.
2. What are they interested in.(ag or ni)
3. What do they consider fair value.
4. Is this based on mcap/ sp (I agree major Board failure here to have built on MRE news leading to 30/40p sp) or fundamentals based on our 1.5 mn PLUS Coopers (x BH in interview) view that this ground will give up in excess of 4 million the vast majority of which would be highly recoverable and open pit - we await revised PEA).
5. What is Bills fmv. He must surely have HIS figure in mind. I a
