Good post bigjock and thanks for sharing. My understanding was that capacity would be used up for antigen and then switched to antibody as the vaccine is rolled out. So its interesting that this isnt written in stone. Maybe antigen could take up the majority of capacity past the summer as its still an unknown how vaccines will work. At least we should benefit either way in terms of utilising the capacity for one or other of the tests past the summer.

Maybe have your shares in certificated form as opposed to being de materialised

Newkotb. Hopefully this process will be bought under control. My view has always been that if you dont like a company . Just dont invest into it.but sell shares you dontvactually own is disgusting. Not so bad if you actually own shares to start with. But even then to me the seller should just sell and move on.

There are ways to reduce short selling without officially banning it.for example
Increase charges for borrowing

Pension funds not allowing their shares to be leant out. Individual shareholders informing their custodian that they do not want their shares leant out. A robust back office instigating buying in process on failed trades on settlement day. No sales unless the trade is prematched with proof that the shares will be available on settlement day
A reduced settlemrnt i.e maximum t plus 3
Unless its an exercuse of options for example.Counter party risk requirements increased. I could go on.but the mechanisms are there.just need applying inmv.

As im sure i am not alone in the annoyance as how the share price has performed during the past two years. A take over is the last thing i want now that we are only 11 months away from a substantial uplift in revenue. I would have settled for that a few months ago. But not now. Unless of course the share trades higher in the short term.
Just wish they would buy some assets

The U.K has a huge opportunity here in showing the world how organised ,structured and resourceful we are.
In terms of the creation and the speed the vaccination can be deployed.
Not to mention the most important part as a shareholder in Omega is the speed a unified diagnostic has been created.

So the EU is trying to disrupt vacine supplies.im amazed they havent had a go at our diagnostics industry yet. Im sure they will eventually.Especially as even our own gvmt is not supporting them . Let alone the press snd do gooders.One question i cant quite understand is where does the Scottish assembly sit in this. No vocal support at all. Uselesss all round inmv

As a investor i am still confident that omega will deliver. Unlike the yellow belies and turn coats who seem to have jumped.sides Spivs that what they be inmv

My question ever since holding this share was as to why the u.k and western world was not a potential mkt re cd4200 ie proactive testing. I had one response too expensive in costs. So now billions are being thrown what. Are they actually in dialogue with any one apart from Cheltenham race course

They are well worth a read,but as a number posters have posted and i agree i dont think that is the answer now. Especially now that we are only months away from a substantial increase in revenue. Unless of course gas prices crash.

For new investors who are just predominantly focussed on covid there are other segments of Omega to have a read up on. One is the cd4200 hiv poc test . The burnet carries some good articles . Also the b&g foundation are actively involved with improving treatment and diagnostics in this field.

For me the attraction to continually hold is the manufacturing capabilities . Irrespective of covid. Let alone the core business.
Inmv larger diagnostics/pharma will be taking a very close look at Omega if not now,but in the near future.
