Are we looking at the onset of the great reset? The question we could also ask is " are they going to include industrial metals (copper) along with precious metals and oil in the basket of various assets for the new international monetary system?

BTW we should perhaps forget about cryptos as a refuge when we look at their performance during the period just gone by.

Everyone is after copper. Even amazon is buying a copper mine and we after 40 years of struggling are giving it away.

In the late nineties and even before that, amongst investors there was a bit of talk of a possibility that we may have stumbled on a copper tier 1 deposit. It was explained this way: tier 1 deposit tend to be far deeper and therefore more valuable than originally thought at discovery. Indeed, it can take decades for their full potential to be revealed thru ongoing exploration. Another very important observation is that those type of deposit tend to occur in clusters. So finding a tier 1 resource can lead to a whole new district. ( how many prospects already identified on KSK? some 30 odd?)

? Do you know the Chinese parable of the bamboo tree : 5 years of invisible growth then 90 feet in 90 days. I feel this apply to KSK - many years of preparing the roots before the breakthrough arrives. Meaning, success grow underground before it becomes visible.

Is it the right time to sell out?

New direction? Look at silver yearly shortfall....the capital that used to suppress the price is now used to chase the price...is copper next?

Over the last 40 years we would have spend close to the $100m on exploration (remember the Freeport spent on KSK $32m over an 18 months period)

and will be selling it just to break even? Does it make sense in this market??

According to some analysts acute shortage of silver in deliverable form may possibly send silver price over the $1K mark by end of 01/26. KSK has a number of prospects with very decent amount of silver.

Would that change anything if that was the case?

What about the 2020 saga between Asiamet and Singapore based Aeturnum?

I still fail to understand why the directors are willing to dispose of KSK at this time. Take Bruce. Bruce bought thru a private placement US2m worth of Asiamet shares @ 4.25p. Is he willing to lose money ? As for Beutong, lets not kid ourselves imho. It was a worthless asset when Tiger used it to trade for 50% of KSK it is still worthless today.

Not to mention the devastating flood currently ravaging the whole area with electricity blackout for the past 2 weeks

Why dispose KSK for the risky and big budget (million $ deep drill) Beutong when finally the stars are starting to align and we got everything we need to grow .

Maybe Mansur knows a thing or two about KSK when asked why he spent his whole career on that project:

" What would be the point of going anywhere else? he answered."

So I fail to understand why quitting now after 40 years of such an enduring effort, carried by so many people, if it is just to let it slip to someone else to rip the benefits. Sorry, It does not add up. Look at the signs...Look how BK has grow...and BK was estimated early on as being

one of the smallest deposits. What about the like of Baroi, Mansur , Tumbang Hoi etc..etc....what about Derajoi where the best one meter quartz vein channel samples independently returned values up to 43 g/t gold, 9.8% Cu, 11,7% lead, 30.5% Zinc and 580 g/t silver (KLG 1996 annual report)

Obviously you do not seems to know what was planned for KSK. In 1990 the directors decided to concentrate on Beruang Kanan prospect (BKM) realising that to develop the futur potential of KSK will require a lot of money. BK , by being easily accessed by logging road , relatively small and being a surface deposit was chosen as the first cab out of the rank providing the cash flow necessary to move unto larger prospects. There are over 30 identified prospects on the concession.

Wanting to dispose KSK is looking in the wrong direction IMHO so much so that people are mislead. Just consider the Beruang Kanan case. From BK it became BKM, then BKZ, then BK south, then BK west waiting for more drilling and we now have the possibility to expand east also. To the point that the original plant had to be relocated because it was discovered that it was going to seat on the deposit. And we are talking only about BK a small prospect. KSK is the gift that keeps giving to people who are patient. What about the lime deposit? We needed lime...no worries.. there it is...no thankyou needed just remember to be grateful when money start rolling in.... what else are we giving away?

I think, no I know, that selling out right KSK is like killing the golden geese...good luck to the chinese I say!

As for Beutong you will need a different type of luck . If you think Kalimantan was difficult to the point of wanting to get out of it, wait to see what kind of opposing force we will face in Aceh. Kindly.

Geologist Reporting on the first expedition one can read : ..... 29/07/83 we are checking out of the old Tumbang Huoi camp. we stopped about 2 kms downstream for 2-3 hours with the dredge to work a hole and recovered 5.0 gms from 0.2 meters of gravels.........November 28 Data Hotap we started the dredge today and did about 2.5 cubic meters for 3 grams of gold...Dec 1 we moved the dredge upstream and recovered 2.5 grams of gold in a couple of hours...Dec 9..we found a lot of gold, not as much as in the natural traps of the Mansur, but enough to know that the Data Hotap tributary was also a gold source for Data Hotap itself ...... Dec 14 Camp Theodore we worked the Sungai Theodore and found 2 really good places of mineralisation. That's rich and if there is enough of it, we will likely have a gold mine here, in a few years in the future .... Dec 15 we panned gold gold, the best at the last panning site. In fact it was the best of any we ever panned in Kalimantan. This means we have an excellent gold and/ or coper gold porphyry target for Data Hotap for our very limited recon time. These results were so good that it was decided to stay until the fuel for dredging was used......Expedition II,III and IV recovered over 2.5 Kg of gold *22-23 karet

This is reported by foreign media.

The U.S. intervention in the sale of a Congolese copper mine to a Chinese defense company is part of a broader effort to secure access to key metals amid growing competition between the West and China for control of minerals crucial to clean energy infrastructure. The U.S. Treasury Department has banned American companies or individuals from owning Norinco shares since 2020.
