I apologise for the waffle but this share has played such a massive role in y life for the last 16 years. Like many I remember exactly where I was at certain announcements for Falkland shares, especially the Des Oil, by smug Danny Fortson Times announcement, b***stard, the Rock discovery , OmbrIna Mare etc

A day hasn’t passed without me logging in and reading the messages. I am so grateful for everyone’s input. I am no trader but have learned to ‘ buy when others are frightened” and “to take profit” which I have re invested in Eco Atlantic and taken more profit. I am now 300k free ride on Rock and 200k free ride on Eco.

The grim determination, shame, terror and gut-churning drop in share price of 2012/13, when I went back to work out of retirement, and subsequently having the belief, through information generously given on this board , supported my decisions to secretly throw everything spare at RKH at 6p, has paid off.

I hope to some day buy a drink for some of those I am indebted to Mogger, Norseman, JPDM (I appreciate you’re not back from Wetherspoons yet with Rosie) even bhlcf and polypseudopolylageraemia and many others

16 years and from 40p to £5 and back to 6p. Thanks to all those who shared their experience and advice freely which helped dispel the gloom in the bad times and get me to spend every spare pound doubling down, down, down to great profit. Also thanks to Sam and the board and to Navitas. What a company. Which pub are we off to?

Eco out of starting blocks since Navitas involvement too. Up 60% since Norseman posted last week.

This is indeed a significant deal bringing a strategic partner of high calibre for Eco, Navitas bring cash and great technical expertise not forgetting a fantastic record in recent transactions. Navitas themselves are genuinely an amazing company who have a reputation for doing the impossible and enjoy picking up developments that no one else can do. Think Shenandoah, think Sea Lion and now a share in highly prospective Guyana and South Africa.

The details are in the announcement but Eco get cash now, more when Navitas trigger the South African option plus carries in both Guyana and South Africa and of course 50% of any deal done by Eco in the meantime. Eco last night upped their share in CBK by 20% and are now very well placed with their excellent portfolio, also with this backing no one will mess with Eco again…

I will write more in due course but for today this is just the deal I, and many others have been waiting for for so long. I will obviously interview Gil shortly but I’m sure he is delighted, perhaps more importantly Colin would be very proud of his team.

Navitas have been an absolute revelation over at Rockhopper. They must currently be one of the most dynamic and progressive oil companies out there. They seem to have great people who get things moving, have their own income stream through Shenandoah and also access to funding and financiers who have faith in them, especially their leader, Gideon Tadmor. I’ve bought into Eco because of Navitas. Hopefully this is going to be an exciting few years for this company.

Thanks Norseman. Eco sound a really exciting prospect, with a number of options, now that Navitas are on board. At a low and hopefully now beginning an upturn in their fortunes. It feels like Rock a few years ago.🤞

Santos, Divi commented on something I said. I’ve been here through thick and thin since 2008. I don’t deramp or provide disinformation but I think the point is valid. This is a potential threat if Netanyahu senior wants to hit back at the UK through his son by stating that the Falklands belong to Argentina. Is this the opening salvo of the Israeli govt. If that is the case, the question is will, or can Israeli financiers provide funding to extract oil that their govt says belongs to Argentina? I bl**dy hope so!!

People taking profit in anticipation of the large number of shares being added at 53p, and not believing FID will be enough to immediately sustain the share price ??

It’s unfair, and plain wrong to criticise someone who has been in the armed forces and served their country just because it was at the command of dubious/diabolical politicians. Lions led by snakes.

Although it wouldn’t be a consideration in a move to the main market, one disadvantage to some of us old beggars would be inheritance tax, which I believe is now 20% on Aim shares from 0, thanks to this useless govt. I presume the rate would be the full 40% if we moved to the main market.

Why mention nationality? Could it be a pre cursor to a future Navitas takeover ?

Does this take into account the insurance claim, or not? I thought that would have been sorted first or perhaps the timeline doesn’t allow for it.🤷‍♂️

The key statement for me in this great story is that Dana was sold at “- a 59pc premium to the pre-approach price”. Years ago I read that on average a companies pre-approach share price increases by 70% on a sale. I keep this figure in mind as we rise, to estimate at any time ,what our current buy-out may be if an offer came in.

I’ve been here since 2008, rode it all the way up and foolishly all the way down. It was so bad and I was so gutted that I had to go back to work out of retirement. But I held on and during lock-down, with spare cash available , I had faith and spent every spare bit of that cash hoovering up the cheap shares and managed to get over 700,000 in my İSA. I really hope this is it. Good luck to all fellow sufferers.
