JH - You forgot to mention the industrial action. Here is just one example.
About 160,000 passengers were impacted after Ryanair cancelled more than 900 flights last month amid disruption from air traffic control strikes across France, the low cost carrier has said.
French air traffic controllers staged a series of strikes last month, with the latest – a 34-hour walkout ending on June 30 – marking their 60th day of strike action this year.
The Dublin-based airline was among the most heavily impacted by the industrial action, with flights cancelled across a number of airports and other routes also disrupted by aircraft or crew in the wrong locations.

JB4 - DayTrade should really get a lifetime ban for posting false pool pictures of you. Was this on LSE or another platform?
As for beakyblinder aka 'sage' - good to see admins have deleted him again.
As for JH , bad luck about his losses on BIRG but not as bad as the losses on GGP so some comfort there I suppose.
Unfortunately, Motley Fool gave SN a favourable review this morning which could explain the fall.
Is what the BoD did strictly legal? The shareholders (who own the company) vote off the directors by a huge majority but the one remaining director then single-handedly reinstates them - without shareholder approval? All seems a bit self-serving. I'd avoid this for now - maybe a lot of uncertainty and lawyers bills in the future and potentially another suspension.
Not as "ridiculus" as your ignorant spelling Daytrade.
Sorry to hear about your losses on BIRG , but not surprised.
JB4 - Did you know sage has re-appeared under the username beakyblinder?
SP still in the doldrums here. Well below initial IPO years ago and lower than placings since then.
Do the BOD expect a pay rise I wonder?
Raising BoE rates has a minimal effect these days and there's a big time lag. Most older and richer people have paid off their mortgage so no pain for them at all. The young ones would love a mortgage but they have to rent - some pain down the line as rents will be increased, but wages in private sector have gone up to cushion this. The squeezed middle in their 30s to 50s with families are the ones (as usual) taking the biggest hit for the whole country. However even this hit is disproportional as it only kicks in when they come off their fixed mortgages which most have these days. So ... inflation will take a long while to come down as only a small section of the population are seeing their disposable income getting hit right now. Anyway it's all heading for a recession so then we'll get back to low inflation but instead have other worries - devalued £, unemployment, riots, repossessions , etc.
Sometimes markets are just plain crazy. Seems at this SP they are pricing in a definite recession.
Look, the trading update was positive. Can we just leave it at that?
Bargain. Way oversold - target price 370p.
It's only of relevance to preference share holders. They can take the money and bank it or put it into other bonds or preference shares. Basically makes BIRG less illiquid but shouldn't materially affect SP in any way.
Naughty. Looks like tomorrow's results have maybe been leaked. SKG also down 7% in few days.
Alternatively it's cheap for a reason. My local research has shown evidence of MARS pubs largely empty on a bright sunny Saturday and half the beer pumps not working. The few customers there would hardly pay for the Sky subscription let alone staff and building costs.
DayTroll: "enjoyed the last one so much i was absent from here for around 10 days"
Do us all a favour and be absent for another 10 days DayTroll.
Bought some of these today. Good divvies. Fingers crossed.
Good to see BOO up ~3% today when nearly all markets are down.
BTW scb good detective work digging out those old posts from DayTroll. Made me laugh a lot.
Well that tranche is back in profit now and I'd be a lot worse off if I'd listened to you and taken your advice to SELL at 152p DayTroll. BTW , FYI - MER just had its 15th consecutive 'up' trading day. Rejoice !!!
Keep digging that hole DayTroll, it's funny.
Have to do better DayTroll
"thanks to inflation, your cash now also buys you far far less than it once did"
Well that is just dumb as inflation applies to everyone - you included.
Luckily for me the 84% rise here in MER since your 152p SELL rec has cushioned the blow.
Keep digging that hole though DayTroll, it's funny.
