The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Cosalt was saddled with huge debts in relation to it's size. You can't compare it with MATRA which has NO debt. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosalt PS. I never held Cosalt and don't hold MATRA shares
Do they still exist? I don't know for sure. I only actually had one that de-listed and that went bust. However they don't all go bust. The one I had had debt so were in a completely different position to MATRA. I can't see there is anyway MATRA will go bust. You still have shares in a company of value which you can't trade. Unfortunate, but it could be worse.
Hi. Technically the company has the money of those who took part in the IPO and placings. Ultimately those who took part in the IPO and placings have YOUR money, though the shares will have undoubtedly passed through numerous hands on their travels. atb. You haven't lost your money, though you have lost the protection and trading platform afforded by an AIM listing.
Yes you did predict ZERO. However the "book" was only for fun as I said at the time. Good try though!
J P Jenkins is trading platform for trading unlisted stocks and shares. It will be a matched bargain service. I wonder if MATRA will make use of the Jenkins facility? It's likely if my previous experience of de-listed companies is anything to go by. For those interested in trading the shares it's worth asking MATRA about Jenkins. Here's the Jenkins web site: http://lmmx.co.uk/
The advfn MTA bb will continue even if MTA is unlisted.
I got that wrong. Only saw that single trade today, but the late reported trade from monday threw me. I didn't see the other trades today listed below that late reported trade. Apologies.
Only one trade of 17k shares all day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joined lse today!! April Fools Day. I post so far. I wouldn't take his post seriously, cammet.
Is not the MATRA operating company registered in Cyprus? So is MATRA considered to be a UK company and is it still covered covered by the City takeover code and UK company act now that it will not be listed on a recognised UK Stock Exchange? Even if you are correct and MTA is still a UK registered company and is still domiciled in the UK it could easily move out of the UK and to another country, especially now it is private. PS. My son informs me that he sold his all MTA shares in March 2013. So I no longer have any interest in MTA. I hope that it all turns out well for you and the other shareholders and you all eventually make a good profit. atb.
I hope you don't get a derisory offer from Barskiy and Co. However now the company is private will the non execs have any power to influence the main shareholders? Now the company is private will Barskiy, Alltech and Tricon boot the non execs off the BoD? Do they need non execs now? Now the MTA is a private it wont have to conform to the corporate governance required by AIM? Since MB, Alltech and Tricon wouldn't promise to lock in their shares for a year after the RTO was completed are they looking for a quick exit? Have they a buyer lined up? It's a requirement of AIM that if someone makes an offer to a shareholder (or shareholders) that amounts to over 30% of a company they have to make exactly the same offer to the rest of the shareholders. Now that MTA is private that AIM requirement no longer applies. Hence if someone offers Xp per share for the shares of MB, Alltech and Tricon they don't have to make a similar offer to the rest of the shareholders. Can they offer a lower amount In fact, say Yp per share where Y is a fraction of X? In fact I do they have to make any offer if they are satisfied with around half the company? I hope MB, Alltech and Tricon don't do the dirty on PI's and play fair with them.
"not as foolish as being banged up with Gwendolyn the biker for ten years and ending up with a butt crack like a wind sock." LOL. Good one!!
It's suspended. It's probably MM to MM deals.
You are as ***** as 2 short planks!!
Obviously Barskiy, Alltech and Tricon were looking to sell out within 1 year otherwise they would have agreed to the 1 year lock in. Why would they want to exit MTA so quickly?
CICC suspended yet again yesterday. Can't get a Nomad (It's had 3 already in less than 4 years). I have been warning the rose tinted specs brigade on the CICC bb's for sometime, but all I received was abuse. Hind and Hodgson were very poor performers, but at least they never took the company private.
definitely has a warped sense of humour. Releasing such an RNS on April Fools day, of all days!!
for all the decent holders such as superted, looneytune, etc, etc. It's a stitch up by Barskiy, Alltech and Tricon to take MTA private. It was probably planned all along. Luckily I don't hold, bit my son has a small holding. Like the rest of you he is now locked into a private company, which may, or may not, list anywhere again. Hope it all turns out alright for all of you in the end. You never know, you might get lucky in the future .
I don't own any ZZZ shares, but they could be worth buying at this price? However it's always a gamble buying shares.
http://uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshot&u=92R8rWqcHBdSO4WxjG2F60URab8oZk9fIR3WHykp9ys= Well the ZZZ sp is currently resting on the lower Bollinger Band and this is the 4th consecutive black candlestick. If the ZZZ sp is going to bounce then monday could be the day the bounce starts?
