The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
He is 73. Perhaps he has decided to retire to somewhere nice and warm? Or perhaps he is suffering from ill health? He's only a non-exec anyway. He only chaired the Board meetings. PS. Don't forget he's a year older than you! LOL.
Now we know the reason for yesterdays 2% fall near the end of the day. Someone knew this news was coming. No date for the special meeting I notice.
Why is LRL trading at such a big discount to cash? I presume PI's have lost faith in Atherley's ability to do something useful with the cash instead of just wasting it. Presumably, rightly or wrongly, PI's think he has wasted cash on Zijinshan and will continue to do so. We shall see. Personally I think the LRL sp is at, or near, it's bottom. We should have news on a firm date for the special meeting to approve the demerger, but it's taking longer than anticipated. Not unusual for Atherley! Also a month ago he "promised" an independent 3rd party resource estimate by the end of 2013. Fingers crossed we get it!! Hopefully this news will support a rise in the sp.

CAMAC not CAMA.
I can't give you any links, but though gas was discovered in 3 of those 4 CAMAC wells none were flow tested so they can't be deemed commercial. I'm sure if you search the internet you will find the relevant information as I did earlier this year. Look up CAMA and PAPL. I thought it was general knowledge that the CAMAC wells were never flow tested. I believe even LRL have said they were never flow tested. It would be easy enough to check.
How could CAMAC's 4 wells have been deemed commercial when none of them have been flow tested? If you look at the results of CAMAC's 4 wells ZJS1 never discovered gas. The other 3 did, but total net pay in each case was not high. Plus they were never flow tested!!
"getting close to a trend reversal?" Hope so.
The same happened yesterday. Someone (an II?) picking up cheap shares sold by disillusioned PI's in 250k blocks? Stake building going on? PS. The Mkt closes at 4.30pm. No trading after 4.30pm, unless there is a 5 minute auction. There wasn't an auction today. Because of it's size the reporting of the 250k was delayed. MM's are allowed to do that.
http://uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshot&u=47iSizc40QSiYwYLgxCVrkqnZyxMnVIP0OquIeGmaM8= The SEA ap is currently drifting sideways in a flag/pennant chart formation. In an uptrend (as SEA currently is) they are more often than not bullish formations. Hence a short term sp target of between 35 and 40p is more than possible in the event of a break up out of the formation.
I'd be surprised if his success rate is much better than 50%.
stocktrade is BANNED from the lse bb's. I mentioned this on sunday @ 21.45 You'll have to visit the advfn LRL bb's to speak to stocktrade (he posts as socktrade1)
Regarding wages, if PA stays MD of LRL as well as becoming MD of Leyshon Energy (as has been stated) he will be MD of two companies instead of one. Thus he could end up with two salaries instead of one!! Alright for some!!
By all means speculate. However I wont join in the fun! I'll just wait and see what news PA releases in the RNS's. Obviously once Leyshon Energy demerges it looks like LRL will just be left with circa US$3m and the Mt Leyshon gold prospect. Since PA said a year ago that Mt Leyshon wasn't worth developing at the THEN current gold price at the current, much lower, gold price presumably it isn't currently worth much, if anything at all.
I'm just awaiting the next RNS. Only good news will lift the LRL sp. I'm not forecasting anything because I think it's a complete waste of time. Think back a year. Would anybody back then have correctly forecast the current sp and the newsflow these past 12 months? The simple answer is NO. You can't predict the future and you definitely can't predict the future with LRL!!!! The past year proves that. The only reason for holding LRL, IMO, is the 9p per share of cash. It could also be a good reason to buy LRL at the current price. The current sp is trading at a discount of over 25% to that cash per share. That appears to be good value unless there is some seriously bad, unknown, news lurking in the background. I don't believe that there is any further bad news waiting to come out, though ZJS7 could be confirmed as a write off? Who knows? I'm hopeful that CASH IS KING and that Leyshon Energy (when it demerges) and LRL will find something of interest to invest in that investors will find attractive and hence lift the sp's. I'm not forecasting anything. Just HOPING that LRL will do something useful with their cash. Buying any AIM share is a gamble. I'm gambling that ALL (or nearly all?) of the bad news is already priced into the LRL sp (and hence Leyshon Energy sp when it demerges) and I'm gambling that we will get some good news within the next 6 months or so. Maybe some good news soon? Who knows? The past year has proved that you can't accurately forecast LRL newsflow, but then LRL is not unique in that respect. The same can be said for the vast majority of AIM explorers.
I didn't recommend selling LRL. Not at the current price. Where do you get that idea from? I'm confused by your post. At this moment in time there is only ONE Leyshon company. That is Leyshon Resources. The demerging of Leyshon Energy hasn't yet happened. LRL, Leyshon Resources will continue, but obviously the LRL sp will only be a small fraction of the current sp because most of the cash on the balance sheet is being transferred to the new company, Leyshon Energy.
I did!! First thing on the 29th October @ 7.5p, but as my post dated 8th November shows I bought back a small amount at 6.825p. I'm a sucker for punishment!! See my post today timed at 16.03

No one who posts on this bb can give you the succour you so obviously crave. The LRL sp in 3-6 months time will depend on the newsflow from the company. Nobody who posts on this bb has the faintest idea of what news LRL will issue in the next 3-6 months. You have 2 only choices to my mind. Sell now or hold for 3-6 months to see what happens. Seeing that LRL currently has circa 9p of cash I suspect your best option is to continue to hold and PRAY for some good news in the next 3-6 months. I should start praying now!! LOL.
This is my post from friday 8th November: "I only bought £1k's worth in 2 x £500 trades. I managed to get them at 6.825p which, since it was below the mid price at the time, lse have shown as sells. I will get more if the chart (specifically the Ichimoku chart) turns bullish again. I did promise that I wouldn't buy any share again if the Ichimoku chart was still strongly bearish, however I broke my promise today. but only in a small way." What's happening here? Simple. No news. It needs good news.
Where's that Zorns1967 when you need him most? LOL. We definitely need the man wearing the rose tinted specs to cheer us all up at the moment. LOL.
