daitom, I (and others) believe that they've been forward selling the 4 million shares they got from their warrants which was RNS'd last week. Without the aid of Alfa's analytical talents, I've got no idea how many they have left. I guess we'll find out once we see the sp break that 25p barrier

Yeah, looks like Wogen haven't quite finished yet. Never mind, they don't have an endless supply and their shares will be gone soon :-)

Cactusman, it's a good question, but to count towards BEE compliance, the shares need to be held by a properly accredited BEE company which is owned by 'historically disadvantaged blacks' eg Jaxson in our case, so ordinary shareholders are just that no matter what the colour of their skin.

Capa, I think only you could look at my post with that particular slanted view. Each to their own, I suppose.

Jamie, I've been in here a few years now and have a nice low average, but in the last year there were 2 occasions when I simply needed a few grand in readies so I sold some. For choice I wouldn't have sold any, but circumstances sometimes dictate...

Jamie, lots of reasons for selling at this price:

1. A company (Wogen) taking huge profits by exercising their warrant option @6.9p
2. Traders who bought in last week cashing out with a 25% profit this week
3. Longer term holders with a selling target of 25p
4. LTHs wishing to top slice in order to derisk and protect their original capital investment
5. Shareholders who need to take some cash out
6. Weak holders who see the rise faltering and are scared they'll lose some money
7. Rainbow chasers who believe they've seen a better, more immediate bet elsewhere
8. Any number of other reasons, far too many to list here

Good point SOTRR, I hadn't read it that way, but you're right and it could indeed indicate a change in strategy away from brownfield. However, we'll only know for sure once we see the relevant RNS, hopefully in the not-too-distant future.

swansea, I think it'll be quite a while before we see Eskom placing any orders for VRFBs because they will want to see the results of their testing of their newly installed (but not yet commissioned) VRFB. The testing period is here: (RNS dated 21/11/17)

"The testing process is planned to last for 18 months, after which the system will be redeployed to a commercial site within South Africa to provide maximum benefit taking into consideration the outcomes of the test work results."

However, that doesn't stop any other entities from placing orders for test rigs or even for the finished article during the Eskom test phase

Dav3J, good post which I agree with. BE has already had multiple approaches for electrolyte and VRFBs as stated in the BE Q1 Operational Update:

""We are experiencing increased requests for electrolyte supply and VRFB technology for energy storage projects, both globally and in Africa, even in the context of decade-high vanadium prices."

It's all coming together nicely here methinks

IMO it's Wogen asking for 24p when offloading those 4m shares that's keeping the price below 25p

Actually, BMN had already stated their intention to produce >10,000 tonnes from Vametco in the RNS dated 29/6/18 altho there was no cost mentioned in that document, and the increase was linked to 'brownfield opportunities'.

"Through its expansion initiatives at Vametco, as well as targeted brownfield opportunities, the Company is looking to expand its production to 5,000 mtV by the end of 2019 and to more than 10,000 mtV in the medium term. "

And again, it's not clear if that is Nitrovan or V2O5 or both. Great to see that repeated in the article :-)
