Speaking of passports (by which I assume you mean Free Trade Agreements?), Nigeria has finally agreed to sign up the the African FTA and join the other 44 African countries who are already members. On the back of that, India is now courting Mauritius (which is a member of the AFTA) with a view to a potential FTA with most of the African continent. Which in turn would open up another very large country with a huge population in dire need of renewable energy to the likes of BE and, errr, well, BE

Interesting to note that Evraz is the top producer of FeV in the whole of Russia @3,500 MTV per annum.

Satisfying to note that we make more Nitrovan than their FeV @3,750 MTV and rising fast.

Don't forget the Lemur BFS which has already been prepared and has been sent to an independent expert for verification. I would imagine that will also land in the next few weeks and should contain some interesting numbers:

The BFS is currently being reviewed by an independent consultant. Once the review is completed and the BFS is finalised, it will provide a more accurate view of project construction costs and associated time lines, which will tie back to the funding discussions with lenders. The BFS will also assist Lemur to progress the Engineering Procurement Construction ("EPC") discussions. Funding discussions and the negotiation of the EPC contract will be among the key focus areas for the project in the second half of 2018."

Exercise of Warrants and Total Voting Rights

Bushveld Minerals, the AIM listed, integrated vanadium producer, with ownership of high grade vanadium assets, announces that it has received an exercise notice for the exercise of warrants over 4,000,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") with an exercise price of 6.9 pence per Ordinary Share. Accordingly, 4,000,000 new Ordinary Shares have been issued. The new Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with the Company's existing Ordinary Shares.

Admission to AIM and Total Voting Rights

Application has been made for admission of these 4,000,000 new Ordinary Shares to trading on AIM ("Admission") and it is expected that Admission will take place and that trading will commence on AIM at 8.00 a.m. on 12 July 2018.

Wolfman, if my memory serves me right we had a similar discussion around last years AGM for exactly the same reason ie forward approval by shareholders of the potential issue of a large number of shares.

We seem to have done alright over the last 12 months so for me it's no big deal

This bodes well for Bushveld Energy and their stated desire to supply VRFBs across the African continent:

"Nigeria would soon sign up to an African continental free-trade agreement, President Muhammadu Buhari said.

Buhari made the comment on Wednesday at a media conference during a visit by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The agreement was signed by 44 countries in March, with SA joining earlier in July.

Before leaving Nigeria for the Middle East on Wednesday Ramaphosa urged the Nigerians to join the free-trade agreement.

Ramaphosa said Nigeria should take its time to consult on the agreement before signing up, but shouldn’t "take too long".

"The continent is waiting for Nigeria and SA.

"By trading among ourselves, we are able to retain more resources in the continent," he said in Abuja on Wednesday.

At a joint media conference with Ramaphosa later in the day, Buhari said Nigeria was careful about signing the trade deal to avoid hurting its young industries. "I will soon sign it," he said.

Talks to establish the African Continental Free-Trade Area (AfCFTA) with a combined GDP of more than $3-trillion started in 2015, and in May Ghana and Kenya became the first countries to ratify the deal. Ramaphosa signed the agreement in Mauritania last week. SA would ratify it "soon", he said.

The AfCFTA is a project that is driven by the AU to eliminate tariffs on intra-Africa trade of goods and services and create a single continental market with free movement of businesspeople. It will only become effective once the parliaments of at least 22 members ratify it.

Nigeria could not rush signing the deal because it does not want to get things wrong, Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun said at the conference. Her government was talking to stakeholders, including manufacturers, she said. Ramaphosa and Adeosun were speaking at the African Export-Import Bank’s annual meeting being held in Abuja this week.

A free-trade area for the continent, if implemented according to schedule, could increase intra-Africa trade by at least half by 2022, a report by the African Export-Import Bank reads."
