It's not pleasing but I am pleased to see more realism on this bb. It's a shocker to spring the fall in core product numbers against previous clear indications we were maintaining numbers. I expect I will prove correct on all counts in the end - tests only get up to speed as demand start to wain as vaccine arrives in the next few months and earliest this December. What a let down when compared to so much promise! Does this change the upbeat future? No. It just means we could have been more clear earlier on demand and figures in all areas and done a better job of managing expectations in some areas. more like turning a drama into a crisis than under promising and over delivering. This mismatch we all (except the odd couple) can see is a real PR own goal. Market reaction to this TU was immediate to me and brought back the woes of years past. LR has really pulled the wool imv on keeping stum on core product sales dip whilst also not giving visibility anywhere else.

We thought we had a core business largely unaffected by covid and all pointers for a positive rns perhaps even beating forecasts. The TU poured some cold water on that and LR, but a new realism is a good position to be in. Bring on more news and let's over deliver!

It's worth repeating. A vaccine is not far away.
Germany and now here expecting nhs staff vaccinations starting December being very possible. However sliced. It's not far off and will cross over with our uprate in tests in a crowded market. Overall this TU is business as usual and creates my cynicism. Predictably disappointing for us in what would be a good performance without our delivery expectations.

Not sure what exactly to make of that.

In covid times a 5% increase is impressive, but I thought LR had made comments relating to holding up very well etc leading me to believe we would be closer to forecast growth.

Announcing reporting dates in advance has been asked and answered. The truth is they like the flexibility so they can adapt to suit.
You ask them and read through the excuse to come to the same conclusion as it has been asked. Just like the lack of /detail so often to form a pattern, ffs

I am in actually more optimistic about our future threeskins apart from my market crash worry. Covid tests are an add on for us thankfully.
Otherwise of course you are correct.

And I believe this next crash will be years before we return to present highs.

Fundamentals would win out irrespective of my overall insignificant sells and do far buy backs!

I'm still minded overall to reduce, but opps just keep coming as I reduce. There is a flaw if I continue infinitely as eventually I will buy back and price will not recover or price will zoom ahead and not return and I will have sold too early. I must stop buying back in on opps one day and accept my holding reduction as the goal I seek achieved. Hopefully before the market crash I forsee.

Just because we fail to deliver enough detail does not change the long term product and promise that will deliver so I'm trading it. I just bought 30k more having sold down in the 20's and high teens.
We have a great product with competing issues and frequent trading opps.

Let's hope the market is working on the theory that normal service will be maintained with insufficient detail and numbers, but instead we blow the doors off! Fat chance but one can hope.

Assume TU is this week and not a great indicator in run up, but let's see what we have to say and hope it provides enough numbers to make a difference for a change.
