Seems to have gone very quiet here. Thoughts?

The twitterati we’re getting very excited to be able to buy at a price higher than this just a few weeks ago. They have now gone very quiet about ascent.

IMO there were no sells as it was going to no trade for most of the day. Most likely to fulfil this large sell in the background.

2m shares at 5.3p this morning. Extremely unlikely to be buys. It will be interesting to see whom is dumping. If it is a large shareholder such as Align I would be interested to know why a change in stance so quickly, as they were buying at a higher price just a few weeks ago.
I fear something isn’t quite as it seems.

Someone has dumped almost 2% of the company this morning in 2 separate sells. Interesting that the twitterati have all gone quiet.

Winnimandala...long term value in AIM? This isn’t the ftse! You get in cheap, know your exit point with profit and get out. Yes, the directors have made growth with companies and some people got in made profit and got out before those companies collapsed. Remember this is the AIM GAME, you need to know how to play it. If you want low risk and long term steady gains...buy ftse stocks or funds.

Just noticed an Andrew Dennan has been recently made director of a company called PMA Life Sciences ltd. Another director for this company is named at companies house as Jonathan Summers...wasn’t their an Ascent Resources shareholder by that name I ask?

This share is now weighted on the Cuba play IMO. Slovenia will be a very long play. The only advantage here is a short supply of shares and a lot held by investors whom have paid a much higher price than the current sp, so holding tight. When the supply of share is tight it can cause fun and games for the mm’s.
Not sure if anyone has been noticing the trading codes keep popping up 100,200,400 codes...all supposed to be ‘rumours’ but been happening for a couple of days now?

Dangler2000...the press has nearly always been right in the past. My understanding is that this forms part of the claim due to Slovenia being a leaky ship...for example the declined permits were leaked days before release and claim refusal leaked days before release. I interpret this press release as AST (lawyers) were happy to take €25m and that’s where Align possibly got their numbers from. If Slovenia refused this and the alternative was a 120m arbitration payout plus legal costs...it makes you wonder the strength of their defence based on the risk/reward for them as they will now start incurring legal costs. IMO Clifford Chance and their consulted ‘experts’ must be confident that they have a case for Slovenia. I am more inclined to believe this press release based on the past few weeks events. Each to their own.

Oldblue, where is the information to this offer to Ascent? This is extremely price sensitive information which has not been released to the market!

I found the part about (with word to effect of) ascent walking away for €25m interesting. Coincidental that Align put a post out suggesting they wouldn’t support an offer below €25m if a vote required.

Can you explain when this offer by Slovenia was made as it has not been RNS?

Up to now the media leaks in Slovenia have always been right. Accordingly to one source AST’s lawyer suggested 20/25m as a suggested settlement. Slovenia took expert advice and said no to that. I can’t see them suddenly saying yes to 50-60m. AST have not yet revealed funding for arbitration as yet.

I agree with your point for the past two bod. From what I can see this bod have been very good with comms. They clearly said no deal was guaranteed but would pursue arbitration. Up to now, the stance remains to pursue arbitration.
We asked the previous bod to pursue legal action for months/years...they didn’t! This bod have jumped straight into it and have a backbone. Besides this they have diluted (at a premium to today’s SP) to move into Cuba and and esg metals play.
Still only 109m shares in issue and a 1m in the bank with now producing wells.

If ast announce a fully funded arbitration plan...Slovenia will surely have to reconsider there position again. If a company is willing to fund arbitration they are confident of a positive result.
