I wont bore the board with the number of times i have bailed from a share only to see it double, treble, and in one case 10 x my sell price. I have of course also backed the odd winner!
There are 2 types of AIM players, there are those who look to hold a matter of hours/days and those who look at a company and say to themselves ...This could be the biggie, the life changer, these are few and far between.
My opinion and it is worth the same as any other poster on here is that all the signs i have seen and the podcasts i have watched, suggest to me this is seriously undervalued. Our friend Edir has been a great source of technical information, and his insight is very welcome. Clever man, me not so but i can read and i can listen, i have watched very clever people smiling all over my screen. Who would invite television cameras to a mine with the risk of mugging yourself off?
Anyone with no patience should sell and move on, as literally anything could happen. I'm in for the long term as i believe this in time will multiply its MC. Don't know if i will be proved right but can't see another company with the same potential.
Just listened to the latest podcast. George certainly sounds very positive, " very exciting " " confident " about Wales. But also Greenland got a mention, once again positive.
I don't see any reason not to hold my shares for the next 6 months+. Unlike some on this board..I do hold shares, they are all paid for, i don't take any notice of posters who appear and cause concern amongst less experienced investors, i can wait as long as it takes.
I have never seen as many derampers all getting together as I have seen today in ALBA , in an effort to cause trouble on a BB. It has nothing to do with trying to get in at a lower price because we all know these types don't have any money. I doubt you can short a company as small as ALBA, so it must just be a case of having nothing else better to do, and this is there way of having a laugh.
Interesting so far today...
As we can see 0.34 is getting pounded by buyers but not moving up, but the clue is they will take millions of shares off you at 0.377, so it's very tight. Plenty of £5k - £10k buys but nothing of real substance.
Selling maybe coming to an end and it's time to get back to high 30s as a minimum.
As this board has now deteriorated to such an extent that it has now been taken over to a certain extent by talk about other companies, doomsayers who don't have a tenner between them, scared holders who really shouldn't be trading shares, Take that songs etc...
What about having a survey on what your favourite jam is...?
Anyone else e-mailed the company besides Yanis and myself?
Not surprised to hear that Yanis. If enough shareholders take the trouble to e-mail the company they will get the message. Although to be fair they have always been very good at communication in the past. Goes without saying the e-mail must be done in a polite way and obviously they can't answer any price sensitive questions.
I never abuse other posters unless they start on me first, i also don't call out individual posters on this board no matter how obvious their intentions are. But...reading the posts on here anyone would think they had just called in the administraters. This share is up 300% in a matter of a few months, that is a fact. Anyone who isn't happy can sell, that is another fact.
How many on here who p**s and moan on a regular basis either really own shares, or have in fact e-mailed the company with their concerns?
It takes the same amount of time to e-mail as it does post on here. For the record I have contacted them, some should try it.
As i have said many times, with the board members we have, the confidence on many occasions of M Austin and George with their podcasts, tweets etc..They are going to look really stupid if this mine doesn't produce a sizeable amount of gold on commercial terms.
If you think this bulletin board is bad now, just imagine if they hit nothing of substance. They will be ridiculed throughout the mining world and reputations would be lower than a penguins a**e. I just don't see them taking that sort of chance. I'm not concerned with the current share price, but 6 - 9 months will be.
I find the exercise of warrants as frustrating as anyone else. But...majority on here automatically assume they are taken by people who will immediately sell them. The ones last night taken at 0.32 will definitely struggle to sell at a profit. Who's to say the warrant holders haven't any intention of selling and are in fact making a further investment in ALBA all be it at a reduced price?
Regarding a placing...
Nothing would surprise me on AIM, i have seen things over the years which just beggar belief ( as we all have ). However, as has been pointed out by others, a placing took place fairly recently, so I wouldn't imagine we would see another in the near future.
I do think bringing Ms Henson on the board is for a reason though.
Elizabeth Henson was, from 2007-2019, a senior international tax partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), based in London. She was the Founder and Leader of PwC UK's International Wealth business and is considered a leader in her field. Elizabeth has an established and substantial contact base consisting of some of the wealthiest entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals from the UK and across the globe.
Very difficult to see any positives with the share price over the last few sessions. PIs are being sucked out through either fear, or the idea there are better opportunities elsewhere. I believe the best opportunity is actually here. Last time I looked nothing had changed, Bluejay did a very promising update today regarding Greenland but even they are down...
The vast majority of trades in ALBA are i believe from PIs, although you do see some 1m+ sells frequently, but you also see the same in buys. MMs will play on fear and they are very good at it.
I'm holding my shares for at least the next 6 months and may add if it drops some more. Current MC does not reflect our potential imo, and is based purely on the mine. We also have Greenland and to a lesser extent HH. Where we will go short term is debatable, but long term is pretty obvious. I see 1.5p in the next few months.
Time for me to retire from this bulletin board...
90% are just traders with inflated opinions of how shrewd they are, yet if you go through some of their previous posts they contradict themselves... It's boring.
There are some great posters on here, certainly more knowledge and reasoning than me for instance. Then we have the derampers....going to spend fortunes when price hits a certain level. Pity they have said the same thing elsewhere.. Who in their right mind posts again and again to try and get on real shareholders nerves? it isn't normal behaviour. I have read some of their posts where they actually are invested, they have more to worry about than ALBA i suggest.
I invest decent sums, not interested in day trades, only the end product. Think I have a great chance here for decent percentage gains, but in all honesty who knows?
Hi BB
If you don't ask you don't get as you say. I only asked for time scales for announcement. Might get a reply might not...
Reading the posts you can sense the frustration, I fail to see why though, They will get here when they are ready.
My shares are paid for, but lots bet on T Trades, you are then relying on news in that specified time or you usually take a hit.
I ignore intraday movements mostly, its what is at the end that interests me. I have always said i fancy this to hit it big, but i know no more than anyone else.
