Hi Vauch
That's the problem with PQE, smooth confident words with little delivery...they issue millions and millions of shares, and alter agreements after the issue to " arms length creditors " at will, and always to the benefit of said creditors. Wish i had never heard of them, current average 0.28c. TOM as well is being hit with sells, current average 0.75p. I can pick em!
The way the PQE share price has been performing last couple of weeks i'm half expecting another delay, dearly hope i'm wrong, but market rarely lies.
Truly diabolical spread in place, dissuading plenty of prospective buyers i would wager. Volume significantly down currently, might pick up later but it's not looking likely.
Sensible move is to sit tight and wait. Far too much good news has been released by the company to consider selling any shares imo.
Of course it is disconcerting when the company does so much with shareholder and market communication to see the SP drift down to these levels. Seen it many times, and have also bailed out many times only to get it very wrong but also at times right.
As i have no intention of selling a share, and also have the funds to buy more should i wish, not concerned about short term movements. But yes, it isn't pleasant viewing.
AIM has always been a strange market, sometimes you wonder how the hell is this down on the recent news? This is one of those occasions.
Interesting point Lee. To be clear, ALBA are not short of money, but as I said yesterday at some point they are going to need a few quid to push on. Yesterdays RNs was huge, and i would suggest this will have been brought to the attention of bigger players. My own thoughts are, that it may be beneficial should they be approached to finance the workings in Greenland it is something to be considered seriously.
George is doing a great job so far and he is definitely no fool, but this will come to serious money. As i also said yesterday, Ms Henson is also well capable of raising any funding necessary through her extensive client list. Or there is the P word..
I thought it was significant Bergen were dispensed with, he would hardly do that if he didn't have a plan B surely?
Says the man who spends more time here than anywhere else, talks the talk about buying millions of shares but has no money. Talks of £20k top ups...I could go on but he squeals to LSE and has posts by me removed. Nobody on RMS board takes any notice of his big talk, which is why he squats over here.
Just had a top up of 250k. I thought we would have certainly been blue today. There have been some good buys on Aqse as well as on the main market, but also sells of course! Maybe a big sell being worked because we shouldn't be down as much as we are if at all.
At least 25% is doable in a day, but not today...
It wasn't so long ago that we had posters on here stating it was going to 7p or higher. Oddly enough they haven't been seen for quite a while..
I always say a blue day is a good day. It is easy to see those who are new to the game, easiest way to learn is to lose a few quid, it definitely makes you focus. I wouldn't even attempt to day trade ALBA, imagine being out when significant news hits?
Each to his own.
Much appreciated to the posters who took the trouble to put comments on this board. I was called out unexpectedly and missed it.
Managed to get it right earlier today for a change, i said once the ones who bought at 0.33/34/35 had taken profit it would move back up, and just for once i was correct.
What now? It just keeps getting better...I expect a few new posters tomorrow who will buy in on the strength of not only todays awesome RNS but also tonights Q & A.
A real chance here guys IMO, there are going to be several peaks and troughs over the next 6 - 18 months. There is no point in pretending it wont happen, but at some point ALBA will need to raise money. It is possible of course that there could be an agreement put in place with a much larger company, who for a portion of say the Greenland assets they would provide any necessary funding. It happens all the time so why not ALBA?
There is also of course Ms Henson, she has a long list of clients who have lumps of money, that is another possibility. All in all these are exciting times, and I am very pleased to be involved. Remember...the real money will come to those who show patience, not those who think holding a share for a week is like a lifetime.
Good luck to all LTHs.
Klobo
I might have been a bit offhand, it isn't like me, so let me give you some advice for free.
Here is lesson 1: Don't believe anything you read on a financial bulletin board. Always do your own DD.
2) If you are in the least bit concerned about your investment, might have bills to pay, wife might find out, sell.
As have others, i have read the presentation details for this evening. Very professional. Long odds on tonights meeting will be positive, and that should not only bring more investors in but also have a positive impact on the SP.
I'm pretty confident that once those who bought at 0.33/34/35 have sold and taken profit that this will move on to 0.40+ I expect the Q & A tonight will be full of positive comment, that should also help raise the SP to somewhere near where lots of us envisaged i.e. high 0.40s. That still under values the company in my opinion.
It is more than encouraging that George is doing this q & a degsie. He obviously feels he has nothing to hide, and is more than willing to answer questions from shareholders. I have invested in companies where issuing an RNS was akin to asking them to kill their first born, and got nosebleeds if they actually answered an e-mail.
Have to give credit where it is due, and ALBA are excellent at shareholder communication.
Yes vauch, and i thought i was badly off at 0.75 average. Anyone got any thoughts the way PQE is performing in Canada? Last few sessions including today have seen sells hitting it hard. I can't help thinking that if everything was going according to plan we would see the opposite. I'm far from happy with the way this company is performing especially with the constant share issues to " arms length providers " at very favourable terms.
On your recent podcast you used the words " exciting " " confident ". In the RNS of 2nd February you said: "This surface drilling campaign is delivering on our objectives in spades" and "It is really exciting to see our work coming together in this way."
What is it that justifies those remarks, and are you still confident to stand by those comments?
Morning rick5
I empathise with your post. I have lost count of the number of times i have bought into a company and then it's like someone rings a bell and down it goes, then it goes down some more etc...
Eventually you get the hump, swear at a computer screen, write scathing posts on BBs, then sell, then up it goes..
To give you something to perhaps think about, more companies I have sold out of have then gone up, than ones which have continued South.
I always do my DD before investing, and of course what DD can't do is give you information about subsequent RNSs. I fancy ALBA to go all the way, but it doesn't mean i'm right of course. I can wait as long as it takes.
The Q & A next week should be enlightening.
