Done a little top-up and now only have to double the sp to break even! (got here by Vialogy) Working on the profitability forecast for this financial year as per AGM statement plus the fact that next year we should make sales in Brazil as a way into S America. If we win I can see a good sp jump but at around 7p a share our MK will be twice our revenue anyway so gives room for growth in any event. Fingers crossed.

I don't pretend to understand balance sheets and formal accounts but this, I believe, clears the way to pay dividends at the expense of reclaiming past tax losses. Whatever the full effect of this the BoD seems to be, at long last, delivering.

Hi perky and hector' If you wish to have a spat could you do it elsewhere. FOX has enough headwinds anyway and while I welcome info it really doesn't help to post personal opinions that are knocking spots of each other. In my opinion this company is moving on to a new positive phase that will build into a potentially massive cash generator. Please enjoy the ride.

Hi Richie, I appreciate your insightful post - I think your right that and that HDD coating could become a ' hoover' application. My mother showed me how to work the hoover - little did I realise that in fact I was vacuuming! We have now got a Quality Assurance Manager that we didn't need in the 8/9 years it took us to get Airbus approval. It took some 4 years to get the NADCAD accreditation again with out this person. SO. What's he for? He has to be for a reason. If it's not to expand in a different direction why would we pay his wages? I have a feeling that HDD is going to make my retirement just a little better!

Hi oldbadger, I think your right re the shift re sells to buys. This company has a MK of probably less than 50% of it's cash balance and less than 50% of it's revenue. How on earth can the sp go down! My hope is that any T/O that is done this year adds to the revenue for this year and if the BoD is serious about trebling revenue by 2020 then they need to get going. This could be so good!

Hi niky, Yes there would be a fair bit of sorting out re costs and fees and the tooling up costs would obviously be part of the deal because it will have to be done by somebody anyway. At the moment the HCp process is considered an environment hazard so it is likely a supplier has to contract it out as a separate payment and cost anyway plus of course the time and cost of transportation. HDD Licencing could be a way to simplify the supply chain. As for scale Kirkham has stated that we are discussing multiple models with airbus alone so that would be a lot of landing gear anyway. As I understand it suppliers in the aircraft manufacturing section often supply to more than one company as per the car industry and certain white goods components suppliers currently do. Because our coating is superior to HCp anyway you would think that if a supplier can offer this to multiple customers they would have a market advantage. It was just thoughts generated by silence from Hardide. Whichever way we progress, if we ever do, we should be in the money. Cheers

My brain cell has been cogitating on a subject I raised a year or two ago. There is a deafening silence from HDD re any aerospace news - either they are all fast asleep or their paddling furiously away beneath the surface. If HDD licenced the process to an airbus supplier, say a landing gear supplier then the coating process could be carried at the suppliers premises saving time and transportation. It would also embed HDD in the chain and not add another component to it. HDD would have to supply/train the operatives but once that was done then the costs would be wholly to the supplier but they would have full control of the process. Any Licence Fee would be almost clear profit. There would have to be some sort of quality control and assessment from HDD perhaps somebody to manage Quality Assurance? Oops I forgot we just got one.

Hi oldbadger, Yes I read the RNS of the 10th of July and they said they were targeting over 20 companies and talking to 10. They intended the 1st one this year and the rest of the placing spent within 12 months of admission. This why in my post of the 6th of Oct I was looking at more than one takeover. However my forecast may be a little premature - we wait and see! The exciting bit for me is the revenue target of 90/100 Mill by 2020. This could massively effect the MK which, in my view, is very conservative - again we wait and see! Thanks again

Hi oldbadger, I'm looking for a bit of info. You mentioned that the BOD has been careful in setting timelines for future takeovers. I assumed that because the 'prospectus' issued when the cash call was announced showed companies of a wide range of sizes that there would be more than 2 in over a year. Have these timelines been published? I'm not saying your wrong of course it just that I thought it might be more. Many thanks. some

Hi stew, exactly right he seems pretty heavyweight - not the sort to join a take over target either. A sign of good times coming methinks.

Yes the Dunkeld works are a job in progress - and an ambitious one at that. We should get more info in the Finals and by that time the development costs may be finalised or at least the future costs will be known D & T is a bit more problematical as a lot rides on the Serco tie up which does seem to take It's time. The European Cryohub project is a bit of a feather in It's cap and wasn't won by no-hopers . To be fair this part of the business is, as a separate entity, fairly new and considering the losses made by R & D on the DG turbines is almost a success already! As usual time will tell but It may well be that this division, because of losses, has the capacity and the potential to be a real revenue booster when it breaks into profit.

Very welcome indeed! Good to see the sp holding. There's been a bit of negativity on here re orders and I've just re-read the info on the interims in the light of this order - quite encouraging in my view. This will improve the Finals revenue and hopefully mean that we get them a bit quicker than last year! Next years Interims could be a big improvement not only with these orders but also because of the winter factory production which could be fulfilling orders and not just producing for stock. All in all this year could be the one that starts the ball rolling. Possibly a profit next year or at least a breakeven?

This is the 3rd year that we've had poor interims but at least the new OEM contract and the new focus on em-trak sales should provide greater future consistency. Lets hope that the confidence for the next 6 months is not misplaced!

Don't get me wrong I hope this is a sales opportunity. But my mother had shopping bags for life and would shop most days as we had no fridge. Every Saturday morning I would be sent with a list to the local shops and either walk or when I got a bike I had the luxury of riding - I did this for some 5 years. I guess those bags were used some 4/5 times a week at at least. Across the road my grandmother did something similar as did most of the neighbours. It was what happened. It was standard behaviour. The bags would be replaced at some point but my grandmother certainly repaired hers when the handles wore out and I remember my mother stitched up a tear on a brown tapestry one that she had. Most bags were made of cotton/jute/linen and were occasionally hand washed but not by machine as we didn't have one. How on earth did the population make it through I wonder? If during this month we announce say 2 acquisitions at 15/20 Mill total then the full value will flow in the next year. If at the beginning of next year we announce a couple more at say 10/15 Mill then the year end figures for 2018 will be a massive hike. Remember that the company has said that any acquisition will be both revenue and profit enhancing. The BoD has demonstrated an astute takeover policy in the last two years - there is no reason to believe they cannot continue to do so. The jury is out on a dividend payment!!
