but the problem with tungsten mines,is processing

you can get the mine/plant up and running

then the hard part,is getting the plant to opperate efficiently is a nightmare

the first time tun or wlfe went into production,recovery rates were to low,about 20% from memory.

w resourse's was the same,they built the processing plant in 12 months,but after 18 months,they still couldnt get the mine and plant to work,the best they managed was 60% recovery,in one month

ormonde mining was the same,after 12 months,they could get recoveries down

tun's mine is lowish grade,but the size of football fields,so an high tonnage mine/processing plant is neede.

redmoor is shallowish type veins,but very high grade,so you get more from your smaller tonnages mined

open pit versus undergound mine....open pits tend to have lower opperation costs,especially,if they have a low strip ratio.
