Er, so what happens to our Pace Micro shares now, anybody know?
Well this is more like it!Happy Christmas all!
Well that's the BIG question! How on earth the SP can fall from £1.94 to this level in 10-11 months is beyond me.Part of me says "get rid of my holding and salvage something from the wreck".The other part says "buy PDL", as they must surely bottom out soon and maybe recover in the medium term. This share business is just completely random or so it appears. But only in a "why do my stocks always randomly crash and never increase in value" sort of way.It might be best to shove the cash under the bed really. So, no, I don't know or have a clue when it will bottom out, sorry for the rant.1p?
Thanks for that, those are my logical thoughts, but the markets and logic seem to be strangers to each other these days!Had PDL since 1996 with only a gap of a couple of years after doubling my money.Am sure it will rebound at some point.
Just how low can this go?Is a share really only worth about 45% of what it did a while ago?Frustrated!
Who knows really!Could be market makers scaring people into selling.Could be that folk in China will be poorer and so buy less engagement rings...
I have no idea either!Somebody just offloaded about 3 million shares which might well have caused the sudden drop???
And it's "goodbye" from me, too.Have sold all my BAO holding due to a complete lack of expectation of fair play bt Redbird and the Board. What they have done may be legal, but morally???They may even portray it as doing their best for us, but I am not so naive. Why no mention or hint of this at the AGM, for example? Like others, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the informed postings on this board over the last 18 months and thank Steeltrader BB , Peakview and others . My only other directly held shares are Petra Diamonds PDL.Anybody have a view on them? They are in production and will pay a maiden dividend this year. All the best.
I have now sold my entire holding at a 40% loss,so could have been a lot worse , as others here confirm. I sold for this reason.I could have held on for another 0.5p per share. But if the 75% is not childdocterreached, the company will go private and I may well not be able to sell and access my money. And there are a lot of sales going through, presumably by our African investor and/or the board.Who will thereby have more voting power to ensure a "yes" vote. All a great shame.I fail to accept why nothing of this was mentioned at the AGM- to the shareholders, who own chunks of the company. Is it a case of poor negotiating with the Chinese? They know the company needs cash and had a strong hand over us. Part if me thinks that you win some , you lose some. But a greater part thinks that. AIM is a gamble against loaded dice.So no more such gambling for me.I have enjoyed this board and wish all posters the best of luck on the future.
Well that sounds more positive than ever.Seems to be more explicit than even the reports from the AGM!
Thanks for your efforts/time from me, too.Daughter's piggybank might have to be raided for a top up....
Bearing in mind that any share I buy usually plummets in sp immedieatly(once bought Thistle mining and it went bust a week later!),is it a cause for concern that I'm sore tempted to top up on BAO?
Thanks! The 2 week run up will be interesting and may give a clue if it is to be positive or otherwise....
Can't find it- anybody know when the AGM is?Seems like a target date now.And big volume today....
I have had exactly the same thoughts and concluded it is just market makers toying with us.Not a good start to the year- wish I'd sold at 2.05 or so.Best wait til it ticks up again....
It would be senseless for them to keep big stocks of shares, agreed. That's why it was noticeably different here. They couldn't afford stashes of shares all over the placeaybe it's because the volumes and values here are small? Not a bad thing though?
That's what I was thinking. So the mm's are really like us.They must be able to see the mid-long term prospects here!Kind of comforting...
This might show my naïveté... The trades which have been going throughout for some time have a preponderance of sales. If those are sales to brokers, those brokers must by now have a big stash of BAO shares. If that's right, why build up like that...? Anybody got any thoughts?
Agreed. The whole of Africa seems to be booming, so a 6 month delay may be good.Rome not built in a day etc.Happy new year!
That about sums it up .Maybe people realised the latest news was not actually all that bad.Possibly some misinterpretation of the accountants' jargon was the worst part.I was expecting a bigger fall and was trying to steel myself into having the bottle to top up my pitifully small holding, but the fall hasn't materialised. So will sit tight and see what happens I think.Yet if the DFS is good, the licence is granted(surely no problem there...) and a link up with the Chinese is created, then what is to stop the sp multiplying a lot? Happy new year TRBW and all in BAO!
