Yeah, an odd day. Tech and growth getting clobbered across the board. Easy to see why oilers are up, but everything else is odd....not that I am complaining as I'm up big today.

Online retail was lethargic in the morning. Maybe because of the news in Russia over gas prices? Odd that boohoo should be down if the market feels so upbeat about omicron. Online retail can't seem to catch a decent bid these days regardless of general market mood.

I was just talking about the trades that go through the book every time an rns drops. There is no appetite for these shares whatsoever with the investing community as can be evidenced by the matching trades, buy in the morning and sell at a loss by noon/early afternoon. Its punters taking a gamble.

I never said the company cannot turn things around as anything is possible. However with current management, historical performance and nothing of note changing, why would anyone expect things to miraculously get better. Why would anyone expect contracts to land out of thin air? Why would anyone expect a 15 year trend of dissapointment and loss to randomly reverse?

The best thing here would be an RTO with an entirely new company in a completely different industry with new leaders and rip down the MDZ banner. Clear the decks and start afresh. The only value to be had here is the listing itself. MDZ is basically a shell company.

Of course I am interested here purely for the abnormally low mcap which makes interesting things happen on AIM. But that's it.

Looking at MW short position and the high activity/volatility of their position, it could be a hedge for their clients. They do carry out hedging activities!

ROE and ROW account for about 10 to 15% of group revenue and are not their prime focus. UK makes up more than 65% of revenue! Remind us the growth rate of boohoo in the UK again kallu? Hilarious focusing on markets in slow decline where boohoo have low focus that make up a fraction of revenue vs massive growth in markets that make up most of the revenue and are in prime focus...the net result being growth abf can only dream of.

US have only just started to decline in the last 3 months which shows weakness in infrastructure there, no doubt about that. But considering the very lengthy delivery times, it's surprising this hasn't dropped off faster. They have grown in the US in the last year....add a little context and your argument is blown out of the water.

Shares are being soaked up despite their best efforts as evidenced on 30th coming back from 5% down. Only a matter of time before the risk analysts step in and say enough is enough over at MW.

It's called spending peoplepower. And boohoo have done quite a lot of that recently. Admittedly spending millions on a s****y london postcode as a hq was questionable considering infrastructure that needs to be in place in US, nethertheless it is a liquid asset that will appreciate in value no doubt and can be called upon if needed (but I doubt will happen).

And of course you can hardly categorise company acquisitions as cash burn to keep the lights on lol. If you want to see big cash balances, invest in unilever or shell.

FTSE is exactly what you say it is Gary. A place for pensioners to park their money. It is a 20th century stock exchange, with 20th century money and a 20th century mentality. It only understands companies that generate sizeable profits and pay a dividend.

UK investors just do not understand growth companies. The way they are punished for prioritising growth over profits is astounding and you can't blame them for fleeing across the pond where growth is understood and encouraged.

I'm really not sure how or when the ftse will be brought into 21st century. It will start by a grass roots change of mentality and some 21st century thinking. How long that will take for the slow and procrastinate British who resist change....that's anyone's guess. The millennials have a different mentality, but old money has a firm grip like it always has done in the UK.

Primark CFO ramping sales figures since November, saying that omicron will have no noticeable affect on sales is quite laughable. What's his agenda there? At least boohoo management has laid it bare for all to see, warts and all. Primark have just set themselves up for an epic failure and massive dissapoimtment, always a very bad thing. Saying that omicron will have negliable effect on sales is dangerous....we are on the verge of a lockdown!

And have been for half a decade. So have asos. Boohoo even poached primark COO back in 2018...remember that one kallu? The muppets suggesting she in is having any impact can be countered by one simple fact...explain UK GROWTH. Notice how the muppets don't mention this glaring fact that UK growth is accelerating despite record headwinds. Not only does it provide us with model validation, it also proves that she in are having no impact on growth when infrastructure is there.

Of course we can't say that this may have been even higher without she in, but looking at growth, she in are simply not stealing market share away from boohoo. Once again, to all the muppets out there, show me a piece of evidence that suggests she in are stealing market share from boohoo and are having an effect on geowth. They don't respond because guess what....they are not. The market that both companies operate within in general is expanding, making this industry NON zero sum.

It's all about the inflation beating dividend yield here, and a chance at a bit of capital gains. One of the safest ftse companies out there with a killer yield imo

It's funny to watch the trades on these "multibagger rns's" when they drop. 90% of the trades are chances and punters that buy in the morning, realise they have just brought into a dog and sell a couple of hours later at a loss. You can tell as most of the morning trades match exactly the afternoon trades lol. The remaining 10% sell on the spike and cash out from the punters. No actual investor would touch this dog with a barge pole.
