Thanks for sharing Kaeren. It looks like the Times have managed to misinterpret the findings of the report then?
The poc antibody tests (not ours anyway) picked up more cv19 cases, over 91%, recognising antibodies, than the other immunology test. Some people were asymptomatic. It doesn't say the poc tests didn't pick up asymptomatic cases. It's saying the fairly high prevalence of asymptomatic cases means that we can't take our foot off the pedal with public health responses.
This is a sad coincidence of misinformation alongside the placing. Though if Rishi Sunak mentions the £5billion PHE fund for testing tomorrow( which is actually happening according to the Guardian) this will end up being quite a good buying opportunity. Lol.
