There was a lot of unrealistic chatter on the iii BB at the time about a £1 party and take overs and all manner of different opinions but that's precisely what they were, opinions. RY did help matters much by adding to the speculation but at various times in the company's development that would have been his job.

These boards are full of hindsight traders telling people what they should have done but we are where we are. No point in crying over spilt milk.

In countries like Norway and Sweden the adoption rate is even faster.

Just a pity its not so easy to establish which cars have nickel rich batteries and which have LFP but there you go. You can't have it all ways.

I think it's partly the market at the moment. Kitco is still showing a huge drop from yesterday. Does that mean the price of nickel did drop to around $10/lb for several hours? As for the draw down in stock from the LME the web site I check is usually 24 hours ahead of the heard but it does get thing wrong from time to time. It happens.

It looks like this wasn't correct either. The web site I got this figure from reported it as a minus but it seems as though it was an addition to the LME nickel stock. Current LME stocks 73,362 tonnes.

With the previous lot and no small number of existing BOD the only thing they appear to have done over the last couple of years is line their own pockets. That and bring into production a loss making mine.

When you consider the amount of time they spent blowing their own trumpets and you don't know whether to laugh or cry. Each presentation Labrenz gave he emphasised the collective experience and the projects the team had worked on. All that supposed experience yet they've failed miserably while trousering a zhit load of money. No shame.

From what I can gather the Kitco web site was the only one showing the drop yesterday so take from that what you will. Add to that the absence of any news articles today about the precipitous drop yesterday and you'd have to assume it was a Kitco web site glitch.

As for closing shorts I'm not sure what's going on in that respect since the short position supposedly held by this Chinese fella is huge. I can't see how you can close something as big as that without moving the market and I doubt it would cause a collapse followed several hours later by a recovery.

It's the absence of anything in the media that makes me think it was nothing more than a glitch.
