Something is brewing here, I'm not sure what, but if it's good then a rise will be swift, substantial and sustained, I should imagine. It's simply that the numbers of shares held are quite similar (12.4 million or so for Pershing at last declaration, 12.8 million for Miles Pelham and his wife). Also, purely idle speculation I know, but could he have chosen to show his hand now and demand a seat on the board as an activist investor, trying to push through a takeover, if an offer, as has been rumoured ( and probably greatly exaggerated) is on the table? It's just that from what I've gleaned on a brief search of his background he seems to be more of a trader and opportunist than a long term investor.
