I am not so lucky, every time I sell and wait to buy back cheaper, but end up buying back on higher prices than sold. So I will stay put and buy more at 105, 100p if it goes there.

Not necessarily, I may break even next week, or next year. my average is 119, when ppl are saying it will go to 100, it’s probably the time to buy more .

Well, Vodafone treasury can buy more cheap stocks.

Right, not selling for me! I dont know what those sellers are thinking to sell so cheaply, with a loss, how would they use the money to buy better shares? Energy is good but it's more&more risky after the good run, I started to reduce myself anyway .

I have bought BT today , but if VOD drops to 100p, I will double my VOD holding.

Last a few days , US mobile companies dropped badly after Barclay downgraded them. That should be one reason for BT/Vod to drop.

Barclay knows investment better than Warren Buffett, funny !

I think/hope it will get better soon, seems to push the price down as much as possible before close shorts. The short sellers know early Nov has a report coming too.

Vodafone is like most of UK stocks, a joke for years. However it has more value than US stocks, I will keep investing in the UK , for now...

I don't need to worry too much about shorts, they long some stocks and short some stocks, and they consistently make mistakes and lose money, last year everyone says BT is dead , ITV is dead, but they recovered strongly . VOD is lagging but I have to be optimistic.

Nothing is impossible. When I bought BT at 99p last year, I would not have known it could go over £2 this year, and I have to admit I sold too early.

At the moment, I could be wrong but I think Vod has more value than BT, at their current prices. So I will hold VOD, no point to sell anyway.

Fortunately my average price is 120p, I am sure I will not lose money if I give it a bit more time , but may need some time to have good profit.

I just want to see it finishes in GREEN, even 0.01p up, nothing more for today LOL

@NewSid understand your frustration, this is a value trap for long tine, I hope it will change, who knows! I am optimistic but it's frustrating.

Supposed to be defensive, the performance is not good for sure, it drops more than index, in bad days. But it's such low valuation , we *should* do ok long term., hopefully.

I have oil/gas too, fortunately I have the profit , to make up the loss on Vod etc, I hope VOD will bounce back strongly, VOD jumped last year in Nov too (of course one reason was vaccine news)

BT dropped much more recently, even US mobile SIPs are not doing well. Telcom sector is unloved in last a few years it seems.

I had BT too, BT/Vod share prices were more or less the same, but it jumped early the year.

UK stock market has been weak since Brexit, and easy to manipulate by big players.

Valuation is so low anyway, I moved most my US investment back , hopefully all including VOD can bounce back.
