RE: GSK should stop COVID 19 vaccine research..24 Mar 2021 14:16
Seaking makes comments based on what he/she believes they know.
On CVAC-
I base everything on fact , not on hear say.
I was pleased when GSK were able to take equity stake in CVAC.
Mainly because Hal Barron role.
GSK own SAM mRNA had stalled and floundered , which was a great shame.
GSK shareholder would find it difficult to obtain any real holdings in CVAC - not enough shares for them to be able to.
Largest Institutional Investor is Ballie Gifford with 2.67%
next up is the Gates Foundation with 1.68%
CVAC - my opinion is a straight forward one. They will bring the best vaccine to the public, and did not seek any JV leading upto the pandemic or sell out to Trump .
Pfizer could not make a mRNA work- so they took a JV with Biontech in 2018 for approx £480 million.
CVAC as many vested interests and JV with other major Pharma investors like Boehringer Ingelheim , but the current Vaccine is just Curevacs and they have chosen manufacturing carefully keeping it all in the EU, GSK will assist but only from the EU
GSK is my annuity holding as I see it- it pays dividends and as taken the blinkers off since Hal Barron came on board. GSK biggest problem in my opinion is it main listing is on a casino named London Stock Market.
Where will GSK benefit from CVAC - easy to answer that- it wil be able to use the mRNA for other vaccines and have access to the small mobile manufacturing units that CVAC are making that can go anywhere in the world and make upto 100,00 vaccines daily.
These units will also be able to be installed in Hospitals for oncology treatments made there and then on the spot.
GSK get the biggest benefit-due to it falling short and not having a mRNA.
Biontech will get fleeced by Pfizer and todate the share rpice does not reflect what it as done- it simply partnered with the wrong company.
CVAC largest shareholder will pick wisely who he sells his shares to- it could be a German based Pharma or it might be a Telsa , but at present CVAC shares are held in a way no take over can be done with out its 2 largest shareholders Dietmar Hopp and KfW.
I hope CVAC value will be taken into account within GSK, but while GSK keeps it Casino Listing in London, I doubt it will.
If you want to purchase CVAC shares then its upto people to by them- but the stock is limited and average tading volumes since its listing on the nasdaq are approx 780,000 daily
