Dangerous to say anything rational that upsets the Pom Pom girls on here
They had to raise money urgently and on the basis of current facts 50p was the best they could do. Very simple. When I first invested here I wasnât expecting to be looking at P2 clinical trials starting 1H25 and P3 starting heaven knows when. Who knows when Avacta Tx will be profitable.
As to those screaming for a TO, how would you feel about 50p per share plus 50p worth of shares in Novartis or whoever. I certainly wouldnât be happy
Flippin
Donât cover subtraction until A level these days I think
Ronny
Iâve had this as hold for over a year now except to buy a few in the recent offer. I have instead been investing in more lucrative areas and not just shares. Consequently as a proportion of my investments the Avacta holding is now much smaller.
I doubt Christine has any loyalty to us PIs so we could really get shafted in any TO.
Agree this totally changes the picture. Chris has no emotional attachment to this. So as soon as she gets a good offer weâll be sold. Great news for cancer sufferers. PIs will have to wait and see.

Wish I could afford to double my holding (though I wouldnât at the moment). With that sort of spare cash I donât understand why you invest here.

Based on what facts exactly?
Ok âencouraging â. Now Iâm really impressed
Didnât Tap say something like âtrial results are promising â? Hardly a huge endorsement.
Ice
Yes of course they will when the time is right.
Nothing is inevitable as far as AVA6000 is concerned
Iâm not saying AVA6000 doesnât work but we could be surprised at the amount of time and money it takes to determine optimum target patients and dosing regime. Meanwhile a lot of money is going into other forms of cancer treatment.

OK then why has P1a gone on for so much longer than we were originally told it would? If as some say it was because Al wasnât allowed to increase the dose in bigger steps then it canât really be seen as Alâs fault.
What else is he guilty of? Even though it is a safety trial he obviously thought that the data was good enough to attract funding and I presume he was let down at the last minute and had to secure funding at a rock bottom price to continue a much longer clinical trial. Again I donât see this as his fault. In terms of the ambiguous communications, itâs his job to paint as good a picture as possible. It will be disastrous if he is forced out.
The post below gave me a ChatGPT analysis score of GENUINE 3
For once I agree with you - we donât want change at the moment. I know Al hasnât got total control over the clinical trials but I think he was far too slow in moving to a two week cycle when it was obvious that the target trial population was too broad. I think he believed that AVA6000 would perform well on lower FAP tumours and was caught off guard. Continuing to 7 rounds didnât give him the results he needed to impress BP and he was forced into a fire sale fund raise.
All along he has been the king of ambiguous communications knowing that enough of us would read these in the most positive light.
If arm2 doesnât yield the impressive results we need then Avacta might not get the opportunity to roll out what wouldâve been a fantastic pipeline of life saving treatments.

What have I said that runs contrary to the facts?
Bella
Have you owned shares before and been involved in voting?
You seem very naive

Iâve inherited a Hofner Club 60 though it was used by a friend in clubs around Merseyside in the 60s. Itâs been retrofitted with Seymour Duncan pickups. Any idea what its worth?
Ice
Iâm not after a row but you could have said the same thing anytime over the last few weeks and what has happened? Itâs gone down. If you mean that by mid year it will be up again then I agreeđ
Ice ffs stop the unfounded ramping. There is no new information to support a rise at this point other than how low the SP is at the moment
