Yep.... as we don’t appear to have an RNS, I suspect the Q&A may be far more entertaining than the presentation.

Novice.... in the absence of an RNS..... I think quite low. There’s a word up my way for how most investors feel about Solg, NM, the SP and yet another webinar....... scunnered.

Fear not everyone, although the SP continues to falter, all is not lost. There’s a webinar tomorrow. Just when all appears lost, a good old boring webinar usually does the trick. Not.

Quady... fancy a mining journalist forgetting NM is taking this to production. You should either filter him, or at least insist he heads up any future articles with the “but remember NM will take this to production” caveat. ;)

Sunset.... indeed. This share has done very well for me, and I continue to hold, but believe we are now entering “ show me the money” territory before we will see any further significant hikes in the SP.

Rcgl2 and nedk.... I assumed the reason for the rise in the CGP price was due to the fact they had received a hostile takeover bid, and the market was valuing that bid.
We have received no such offer.
Most takeovers I have seen, the company being taken over rises, whilst the one bidding either languishes, or falls, until such times takeover is complete, and perceived benefits / synergies / cost savings of the merger are realised.

Quady yes, I read it to mean everything has been delayed again, albeit slightly. I take some comfort in the fact that because of their track record, and Covid, such delays are already being reflected in the SP due to lack of market confidence in what Solgold say they can and will do, and by when.

Whilst I welcome further news, particularly drilling results which are way overdue, even bearing Covid in mind, I do wish NM would stop reusing the same stock phrases and sound bites time and again. It smacks of corporate policy rather than sounding natural. “First mover advantage” indeed. He’s clearly never read Aesop’s The Tortoise and The Hare.

Sensible... common sense would dictate that this should be the case, however historically (and frustratingly) Au, Ag and Cu prices seem to have minimal impact on Solg. Something I struggle to explain. I think the market needs to see, and believe, a clear, coherent and achievable strategy regarding how we intend to get the stuff out the ground, or realise it’s value, before the SP moves to reflect this. We’ve promised much and delivered little to date. Hoping this changes in the very near future.

Any airline or tourism or oil company. Or Rolls Royce. But personally I wouldn’t touch any of them with a barge pole yet. If forced, I would guess the big oilers.... BP or RDSB.... can’t go much lower. But that is a speculative guess.

rcgl2.... that data room quote puzzled me at the time. As things stand, no data room exists. Were Solg to receive a bid (or bids) they felt were worth putting to shareholders, then, and only then, Solg themselves would create a data room, in order to allow the bidder(s) access to company sensitive information, in order that they may complete due diligence. Solg would retain control over what went into the data room, and who had access.
The CGP quote seems to suggest all Solg wares be put on open display to all and sundry in order to provoke some kind of bidding war. That’s corporate madness, and no decent board would allow it. You would basically be allowing free access to company sensitive information, built up over years at great expense, to all your competitors. Any company would only entertain such a scenario under a fire sale where they were already in deep trouble. It’s a crazy suggestion... but typical of CGP. They have nothing valuable to protect, and would quite like to see a fire sale of the Solg assets.

Some nice, slow progress here recently, todays rise on the back of a broker view a welcome bonus.

Hi Quady.... think you misunderstood what I was getting at, I agree with you. I don’t think 80p will cut it, let alone 40-50p. What I was getting at was I struggle to see BHP or anyone bidding 80p or above whilst the SP sits at these levels. They are more likely to open at the lower range I suggested. And the more disgruntled investors out there (mea culpe) the riskier the Solg position is. But as you say, the make up of the institutions holding make this worst case scenario very unlikely, as they would have to be working in concert.

Something I just don’t get about some of the possible sale prices guessed at on here. Unless our SP rises significantly in the coming weeks.... wouldn’t even 80p represent one of the largest acquisition premiums ever paid, certainly in the mining sector? Now I know the perceived value of what we have in the ground, already proven, and I also know the potential of the unproven stuff. But any bidder is going to have to justify whatever they offer to their existing shareholders... and that is assuming they can finance the bid from existing cash or shares. If they have to seek external finance for the deal, they’ll have to justify the bid price to whoever supplies the finance. Unless something happens to raise the SP significantly.... which let’s face it doesn’t look likely given our track record here.... I think 80p or higher will sadly remain a pipe dream from this start point. I still think any bid, if one arrives, will be in the 40-50p area.

Redknight... I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment, and save for a few very frequent posters on this board, I suspect most long term, and committed holders share these frustrations. The news flow has been diabolical, given the dire SP there has been very little by way of reassurance or clear strategy statements issued to shareholders. But hey, let’s have another webinar.

Let’s have another webinar and hash together some of those old slides. That’ll keep the moaning shareholders at bay for another month.

Quady you are quite correct that we don’t know there hasn’t already been an offer of £1 a share. However, I find it extremely unlikely, given that nobody has announced such an offer. Ok, NM and Solg may not recommend such an offer, but given that it represents nearly 4 times the current SP, surely the bidder would go public with the bid? Also, it would be disappointing in the extreme if NM was to keep secret such a premium to the present day value from us PIs. In fact, I don’t believe he would risk their wrath to that extent.

Hi FTSE, I am glad rcgl2 has asked you to explain what you mean, because I too am puzzled by your post. Sorry if this is a naive question, but can you spell out in layman’s terms what you mean by....

I’ve reread it several times and it still baffles me. What are blockers? You seem to be suggesting MMs are deliberately suppressing a stock listed on the main London Stock Exchange.... and have been doing this for some time. You can’t mean that surely? They would face jail? Also... what’s their motive? I think, sadly, that there’s no great conspiracy at play here.
