IMO there is no way Advance can walk away from this. Even if there is only 10m barrels in this well they simply have to go it alone or find a willing production partner to extract the oil. What choice do they have? They have the rest of the field to go at as well.

I think once the panic traders are gone ADV will give an update on their plans and the sp will be back in the pennies.

I doubt they would risk £100k without a nod.
